Erik and his team did a beautiful job following my architect’s plans, and was also proactive about calling out necessary changes. He was very patient with all of my changes and very specific requests, and was a very calming influence when unexpected surprises inevitably arose during construction. "We received quotes from 3 different contractors. We chose GAXL because it's close to Newark and I like how Jose explains everything in detail. Originally we thought the remodeling would take 4 weeks but it took close 6 weeks. The whole project was great, the craftsmanship was superb. At one point, we found some tiles that are not very nice (from the manufacturer) and we asked them to redo the bathroom wall. They don't complain and understand our request. The workers are great, especially Marvin and this other guy (forgot his name). They WORK very very hard from 8a to 6p everyday. Jose is on time and is very prompt in returning calls or text. In fact he's the only contractor who's very prompt and I like that! On one of the walls they discovered a mold due to rain leaking and they're able to fix it in 4 days which is great. Jose and his son pickup the materials from the suppliers and drop them in our house. Overall, Jose and his men are courteous. I will definitely use GAXL for future remodeling."

"(1) Scheduling was difficult. I was told materials would be ordered within 3 days (it was 1-1/2 weeks), I was told work could begin with 2 weeks (it was 3 weeks) and I was told work would take 3 days (it was 5 days). This made it difficult to schedule other renovation contractors. (2) [Person in office] did not want me to call her on the phone and told me to communicate via email only, which slowed communication. (3) There are 2 areas with minor rippling in the laminate. It's not too noticeable, but prevents me from recommending them to a friend because it is sub-par work. (4) Worker left paint splatters all over my refrigerator, sliding glass doors, bathroom sink, and bathroom floor. Other that all of the above, my experience was good/average. Kind of a high price for the quality of work. Not good enough to recommend to a friend, but acceptable."

"Ben and his team completed work on my condo and I could not be more pleased with the results. I tasked them with a two bathroom remodels, kitchen sink replacement, and the creation of new sliding doors between my office and the master bedroom. Ben, Marcus, and Pete were prompt, professional, and very considerate of my time and space. Of note is Ben's candor when it came to design ideas, and expense. He advised that several of my ideas weren't worth the money, and suggested more cost effective alternatives, which I really appreciated. I would absolutely hire Ben and his team again for future work."

"Very good! They were fast and super good about fixing up any loose ends and we are very happy with the quality of the work. Our only minor complaint is sometimes the communication was lacking between project managers and the crew. We had a couple miscommunications along the way but it was a big project so we understand that’s bound to happen."
