"The work was done very quickly and for a very reasonable price. We recommend this business highly and will use him in the future. This man seems very knowledgeable as far as all electronics go.? Although his business is on the second floor of very easy to find business on Murray Ave.,? there were several willing men who helped us carry our items up the rather steep stairs. We live in the Penn Hills area, but found this business very easily and it took us very little time to get there."

"They did a great job with that and it made a huge difference. Before you could sit on the couch and feel the wind. It s not like that anymore. It s really nice. They were very responsive and they are a family owned company. They were really good about the price and the results were wonderful."

"John is very knowledgeable and professional. He was very easy to work with during the job. He replaced the waste overflow and and the tub drain plug and chain. He then needed to adjust the length of the chain so the stopper could open and close the tub drain properly. He repeatedly adjusted the drain added more water during each test and the stopper would not hold. He finally checked behind the tub and he found a leak in the drain pipe. Unfortunately, all that water fell right on my living room ceiling plaster roof eventually creating a 2 foot in diameter stain and the damage was done. He fixed replaced the leaking drain and after another glitch successfully got it all working. John was here a little less than 4 hours. The bill (no helper) was for $990 of which $75 was a “call out fee”, $800 “service charge” and the remainder was for parts! I thought that was overly excessive especially considering the large amount of water that stained my ceiling. To top it off, when I asked to pay by credit card he said he was not getting internet access in his van at the moment (perhaps he didn’t want to pay the cc company the service fee?). I told him I was surprised but I volunteered to pay by check, which I did."

"Very well. As for the backyard work that he had done, that took a few days and was very professionally done. The recent work inside our house took one full day plus two partial days, followed by an additional partial day. The results were very nice. There was some additional work needed after the bathroom faucet was installed (snaking the pipe further down) for which we'll need a plumber to come out. But that was reasonable; everything works fine. A definite improvement for us."

"Guy arrived on time. He was very courteous and removed his shoes while working inside my home. I discussed with him all of our issues. As he was addressing each one, he explained to me what he did. Our home is only 6 years old but the wiring was poorly done. He identified a couple potential fire hazards in our fuse box due to the wiring. We live in a quad building (a total of 4 units attached to each other) so we did inform our neighbors. We also recommended PLS Electrical to them. We are preparing to put our current home up for sale but will be moving to an area where; if I should need electrical work, I would definitely call PLS. <br />"

"When I went into their shop they immediately greeted me and asked if I needed any help. I mentioned that I needed a lamp repaired and they took my name and number and said that it should be done by next week. They called me when it was ready. It was nice that they were able to repair my lamp versus throwing it out since it was a matching table lamp. It was worth the money and time to go to them and have someone take the time and care to fix my lamp."

"Russ was easy to get in touch with, and came quickly for an estimate. After some delays in getting the estimate back, his team came to the house. They worked quickly and quietly. They cleaned up completely when they were done. They added several new panels to the wall, which look very clean and professional. They were very professional, and the price was reasonable. I would recommend them to others. They did have some delay in getting the estimate to me after their initial visit, which I think is because Russ seems to answer the phone himself, and does not seem to have an office staff to help with this. They are highly experienced working with old homes, however, and I still recommend them to others."

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Pittsburgh, PA

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
