"Brad Armel of BKM Contracting called me in response to an online form that I filled out on another website.  He came after another contractor who spent most of his time trying to get me to replace the entire deck; we didn't want to given all the expenses that we have had after Hurricane Sandy.  Brad quoted a reasonable price, proposed the power-washing, scraping and painting, which is what we really wanted.  He also quoted a price for replacing the bifold doors on my wife's closet with sliding doors, which also including painting it.
They came when they said they were coming, installed the sliding doors and power-washed the deck on the same day.  It took them a week or so to come back to paint the deck, but this was due to a week where it rained almost every day; we needed two or three dry days before the painting.  Brad's partner, Mike, came stained the door and painted the deck in one day and came two days later to coat the closet doors with polyurethane to seal them.
Brad and Mike did everything that they said they would do, did a quality job in a timely fashion, even coming on Sunday to make up for the delays that they weather had caused.  I would use them again without hesitation."

"I would absolutely recommend Robert to anyone who needs work done on their home. We got estimates from and spoke with many contractors and home improvement companies, but we were looking for someone we could work with for this and future projects as well as someone we could speak with for advice and guidance. I tend to be very picky with the people I work with. Robert was the most straightforward, reasonable, and knowledgeable person we spoke with. His prices are great as well. He makes sure to go above and beyond so the work is completed perfectly the first time with a very high level of detail. Robert transformed our home from the worst looking house on the block to the best looking house on the block with new vinyl shake siding, custom doors, custom windows, custom interior window trim, exterior lighting, a new garage door, foundation repair and paint, framing, insulation, drywall installation and repair, and a bunch of other repairs along the way. He fixed numerous additional issues as the work was completed, giving us results that will last while keeping our budget in mind. It looks and feels like a brand new house. Robert and his team are also friendly and understanding. You may be reading this review in the future, but the year is 2020 and this is a very different year. My wife and I are both working from home, and our son is home too. Through the project, Robert and his team made sure to work area by area and cleaned as they moved to minimize the impact to our family. This level of care is very difficult to find. After working with Robert, I can say I will definitely work with him for all my future projects. After seeing Robert and his team working on our house and the results, our neighbors have started hiring him to take care of their various needs as well."
