"They did a fantastic job. All my mouldings and door jambs were stained wood and I had them all painted white, they look beautiful. Job is perfect. Painters were professional and courteous. They also painted my kitchen. Would absolutely use them again."

"Provided very professional in-home services, including painting and spackling around custom ipads for our Control 4 system (automated home entertainment system) that had been installed by our audio/visual contractor. Appreciated how MN handled even small related projects to the work they had been hired for without a substantial upcharge. Very reasonable and detailed expert professional work. They even cleaned up afterwards, which I appreciated."

" We originally wanted two water stained ceilings patched and painted and the living room re-painted. We met Mike who promptly met us after we requested an estimate. Having been in the financial industry for decades I've come across all kinds of sales people and I'm proud to say that Mike is not like any of them. Mike is friendly, genuine, professional and likeable. He is neither phony or pushy. He was pleasant and understanding of our needs. He told us what had to be done and gave us a reasonable estimate that never varied. His painters, Nino and Willie were assigned to our project. These two gentlemen were a pleasure to have in our home. We were extremely comfortable with them. Their work was truly professional and shamed the previous work done in our home. They arrived ahead of time and left the rooms clean and spotless. Their work was meticulous and showed off their skills. We were so impressed that we immediately hired them to repaint the stairwell and the bedrooms upstairs. "

"Joe is our go-to guy when it comes to painting and any carpentry work we need done. For $1,750 (not including the molding and paint costs), he and his crew put wood veneers on the risers of our new wood stairs and sanded and painted the sides (we got rid of the carpet & got our wood floors & stairs sanded & stained.) They also added molding all along the sides. Then, we got the molding replaced in our living room, dining room & upstairs hall. Plus, he painted a small bathroom. As an added bonus, he added new molding around the entryway into the kitchen- he just asked if I wanted it- for free! I got such a great deal from Joe! This is the third time he has done work for me and I'm sure I will be contacting him again in the future when I need carpentry and/or painting done! Professional, good communicator, great prices!"

"4 Rooms painted including wallpaper removal, high entryway/hallways and moldings . We were very happy with the quality of work, the painters were professional and courteous. The quote process was easy and quick. I also appreciated how they went over everything with me on each day prior to each room starting. The final outcome of the project was way above expectations."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Plainview, NY

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
