"I recently made arrangements to move my elderly father who lived in a large 3 story house for 30 years into half of a double. Included in the move was a second move of my belongings stored in this house to Florida. There were 2 trucks involved and a lot of furniture. Because of the sensitive nature of moving an elderly person together with the long distance move, the stress level was high. In fact, there was a huge argument over the cost of the movers between family members the night before the move. The argument was over the price another moving company had given me that I decided not to go with. Others believed I was using this much higher priced moving company and that I was being over-charged. However, what really happened is that the next day, 3 awesome movers showed up and professionally, efficiently and inexpensively handled the job. A great value and great service is hard to come by these days. We were drinking champagne celebrating by 3 pm the same day! I took total joy in knowing that I did indeed chose the Best Darn Movers available!"

"We agreed to pay the extra 40 dollars to have them give an on-site estimate which was supposed to be a 14 hour move with a crew of three and a truck. They arrived with the truck and three guys but no moving equipment. We had many heavy items like This End Up furniture and some appliances and they were not prepared to handle the loads. They dropped some of the items on the newly refinished floors and hit the banister and steps causing noticeable damage. They did not report to us any of the damage. It took them 22 hours to make the move, which was way over the estimate. We ended up having to help them move the items into the new house for over 6 hours of our own time so they could get home and we are no spring chickens. After complaining about the extra hours they charged us for three extra hours. They were a good group of guys but not very prepared. This was not a smooth moving experience."

"OM VANLINES moved my parents from Florida to North Carolina. I didn?t realize my parents had much more items that they initially mentioned. The price did go up but they honored an additional discount to help. The shipment was picked up on Monday and delivered by Tuesday. It was an additional cost but the service was amazing and my parents have all their belongs to be comfortable. Thank you and we will be calling soon to move our selves closer to my parents. "
