"This would take an entire book to write how awful the job was done and never completed. This all started in July of 2024 and here we are in April of 2025. Troy and Lisa aka Mike only arrived for 2 hours on 4 different occasions. They had every excuse in the book not to show up family members passing away, stuck in traffic so turned around and weren't coming, they were sick etc. The door they ordered for the delay in September was damaged but would exchange it for a new one. I never saw the door. There is wall paint on the trim and trim paint on the walls. They never did a second coat in any of the rooms. I had to reach out to them over and over again just to get a response. They were always going to call the following morning never did. They walked in the paint and ruined the Master bedroom carpet. They were supposed to hang the ceiling fan and that took forever that was the most time they were here because they had NO clue what to do. They were supposed to do a walk through and that never happened and blamed Sherman Williams. It was lie after lie. I just received a text last week stating they would call the following day and no answer to my text and never called! This is a total scam. Sherman Williams even verified it takes 4 hours for 1 coat to dry well they claimed they did 4 coats and not 2 were even done. They were only in each room for approximately 1 hr. Didn't even finish the job. If I could give 0 stars I would. I never received the door or the paint the following day as promised to do the so called touch ups, which in reality a second coat needed to be done. So off to court I go. Oh, and the 5 star reviews be careful because they write them not customers."

"Please see attached pictures of the work that was done. This has been the worst and most painful experience in my life ever. Mr. Gilberto Mora from Personal Painting is a one man business. He recently hired two inexperienced men to assist with minor details and not the actual paint or spackle job. Basically, they run back and forth to his truck to get supplies for him which is annoying because the door slams constantly and my AC is on. It took him over a month to do the job and he showed up a few hours at a time on four different occasions. He kept rescheduling me because he had bigger paying jobs than mine. He would show up at my house when it rained. He told me he could squeeze me in-between because he is presently painting the outside of homes and can’t paint them in the rain. Here are the end results of the nightmare. He failed to put on a second coat of paint as contracted in three rooms, failed to give me a receipt for services, failed to smooth out many imperfections from wet sanding, failed to paint my exterior door frame which I supplied him with the paint prior to and he has failed to return my paint. Also, he cleaned his paint supplies in my sink. I have a septic tank so this is never a good thing because the latex in the paint can cause serious damage which he was unaware of. I told him to clean his tools outside but he did not want to comply with my wish. Told me to get an engineer to check my tank out for damage in a smart- alec way. I have already paid him in full in cash for the services and he failed to complete the job and decided to stop responding to me via text which is his form of communication, I saved all of our texts though. He is a GOOD example of over promising and not delivering. Now I have to pay someone else to complete the POOR workmanship and the incomplete work. I will be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau & Consumer Affairs next. I am expecting a refund of my money and compensation for my Benjamin Moore paint that he stoled."

"John and his team did an amazing job with painting the exterior of our house, the decks, the screened-in porch, and the trim work. He was prompt, neat, had competitive pricing, and even finished a day earlier than expected. Best of all, he left the remaining paint in case we ever need it for touch ups. DETAILED REVIEW: Derek painted a room for us 8 years ago when we purchased an Angie's List deal for his company. We were so impressed with his work ethic, personality, and the quality of his work that we kept his name on file. We recently moved into an existing home that needed to be completely painted: ceilings, walls, and trim. We were out of Derek's normal service area but took a chance that he would accept the project since it was a whole house. He accepted...YAY! As expected, he and his coworker, Mike, were AMAZING. Every surface of our home was covered with a drop cloth or plastic (cabinets); every outlet cover and register removed; every doorknob, hinge, and light fixture taped or covered so paint would not get on them. We gave Derek a key to the house and stayed out of his way. We were so pleased with the progress. We found out that Derek does tile work, so we asked him to also add a tile backsplash in our kitchen. That turned out great as well. The only evidence that they were even there was the BEAUTIFUL paint and backsplash: They cleaned everything up and even vacuumed the floors before they left. I will be saving up and trying to get enough work together to convince Derek to come out to us one more time for bathroom tile and anything else that he does. Honestly the best contractor (painting or otherwise) that I have had the pleasure of working with. Thank you, Derek and Mike!"
