"Zach has done a number of handyman projects around my house for me. Most recently, he fixed a bunch of misaligned cabinet doors, a wobbly ceiling fan, and completed a large ceiling drywall repair after a tub leaked above it on the upstairs floor. He is always punctual, professional, and does excellent work. Highly recommend for any of your project needs!"

"Wonderful service - so impressed!  Very clean, professional, organized, and pleasant.
This refrigerator is only 2 years old, but we've had to have several other service calls and repairs by another company sent by the extended warranty company.  We finally were allowed to call a repair person of our choice - so we called Mr. Appliance!  (We had recently had a problem with our 10 yr old stove and after calling several companies, we found Mr. Appliance.  After much research and several phone conversations with Barbara (she is the most pleasant person!), she helped us determine that it would probably be more cost effective to buy a new one instead of trying to replace the circuit board and whatever else might have been wrong. She was so helpful and pleasant that they were my first choice when we experienced another appliance issue.)
Mr. Appliance came out and they determined that during a previous repair (made by another company), the drawer glides had been improperly installed and as a result the plastic teeth had worn off of the gear that operates the drawer glides - which resulted in the drawer not shutting properly, allowing air to be pulled into the freezer and also causing the gasket around the drawer to become deformed. ... Of course parts needed to be ordered, but in the meantime, Mr. Appliance was able to adjust the drawer so that it closed better and minimized the amount of icing inside the freezer while we we were waiting for the parts to come in.  They also went out of their way to help coordinate the repair information and supporting paperwork required by the warranty company for my reimbursement.  I would never buy the same brand of appliance again, but I would definitely call Mr. Appliance again, and without hesitation, would highly recommend them.  .... Update: The repair was completed Sept 2014 and that's when I wrote this review. However, I was interrupted before actually 'submitting' it.  I came across it  today - May 17, 2015, and  I am happy to report the the refrigerator and freezer are both operating perfectly :) Thanks again Mr. Appliance!

FAQs for appliance (smaller size) installation and replacement projects in Pooler, GA

Garbage disposals last around 10 years when properly maintained. If your unit is getting close to that age or repair costs are increasing, it might be time to consider a replacement. Regular maintenance and careful use can help maximize your garbage disposal's performance and help it reach its maximum lifespan.

There are several signs to watch for that indicate your garbage disposal needs to be replaced. Replacement may be necessary if it doesn't work even though it's properly connected, the blades are worn and causing delays in operation, a persistent foul odor that won't go away, or leaks coming from the bottom due to a compromised seal. If you're experiencing any of these issues, it might be time to consider getting a new garbage disposal to keep your kitchen running smoothly.

A plumber or handyperson can install your garbage disposal if the electrical connections are already in place. If you need additional electrical work, you'll also need to hire a qualified electrician to handle the rest of the job. Hiring local professionals ensures the installation is safe and up to code.

It’s important to avoid putting certain items down the drain to keep your garbage disposal running smoothly and avoid clogs. Expandable foods like pasta, rice, oatmeal, and bread can swell and cause blockages. Coffee grounds, grease, fats, and oils can accumulate and create clogs. Hard items such as meat bones, nuts, and fruit pits can damage the disposal blades. Eggshells, potato peels, and fibrous vegetables such as celery, pumpkin, corn husks, artichokes, onion skins, and asparagus can wrap around the blades or obstruct the pipes.

Not every sink is suitable for the installation of a garbage disposal. The compatibility of the sink with the disposal depends on the material and structural integrity. While many standard sinks support these units, fireclay sinks are prone to cracking under the added stress and should not be used. Confirm that your sink can securely accommodate the disposal before installation.

Choosing the correct size garbage disposal depends on your household size and how much waste you produce. A 1/3–1/2 horsepower unit should be sufficient for households with one to two people. If your household consists of three to six people, a 1/2–3/4 horsepower unit is recommended. FA3/4–1 horsepower model will be necessary. For larger households of five to eight people
