Instead of just fixing the broken switch on our floor lamp, he suggested that a dimmer be installed to avoid problems in the future. We asked him to install a dimmer on a matching floor lamp to avoid having identical problems with its switches; and he cheerfully did this for us. He also told us the maximum wattage to use on each lamp, which was extremely helpful. He charged us $65 to repair each table lamp, $95 to fix and install a dimmer on one floor lamp, and $75 to install a dimmer on a matching floor lamp. I thought the prices were reasonable; especially considering the fact that we did not have to lug the lamps in a cab and pick them up at a future date. He arrived at our apartment, worked quickly and cleanly, and left. It was a great experience all around!"
