"When John came to my house for the first time I asked him about some repair, and he said “I do it all.” It did not take long to find out he wasn’t kidding – he really DOES do it all, and he does it all VERY WELL. His skill impresses me more with each job he finishes. John excels in craftsmanship and communication, delivering finished projects that meet and exceed expectations, while also providing excellent customer service and attention to detail. He takes time to explain his ideas and the reasons for them. John’s expertise seems to have no limit, at least none that I know of. His estimates are more than fair. On top of all that, he’s a genuinely nice guy and a pleasure to know. I’m delighted with the decision to hire John, and I will absolutely do so again."

"Vargas Home Improvements did a wonderful job installing the sliding glass patio door. He did a wonderful job with the installation and the moldings. I highly recommend this contractor, very professional and timely. Strongly recommended."

"Smart Tile is an excellent company. Our representative Lorenzo couldn't have been any better. He is beyond excellent. Very concerning careful and professional. I would recommend Smart Tile Company to anyone who is interested in tiling backsplash or counter tops and flooring etc. Excellent job. Thank You very much."

"Tom and his crew are true professionals and craftsmen, which is shown in their process and final product. It is also very refreshing to have all phone calls answered and or promptly returned. We are very happy with all of the work they have done, we will definitely use this company again for future projects!"

"This provider, Melvin from All City was one of the nicest and most accommodating vendors I have ever worked with. The offer was for a tilting tv mount. I wrote All City and asked if it was possible to get a full motion tv mount. They immediately wrote back and said absolutely but it would be a little extra which I expected as the bracket costs more. Scheduling was very easy and immediate, only like 3 days after I bought the service.

Most importantly, apparently my old New York City address was in the Angies list system and Melvin texted me on the day of the appointment, near the time of the appointment that he was close to my building. Well I knew this didn't sound right as I don't live in a building anymore but rather in a house 40 minutes away from NyC without traffic in Westchester. When I contacted Melvin he couldn't have been nicer or more understanding of the mistake (not sure if it was mine or Angies List but certainly wasn't his) and said no problem he would get in his car and head up to the house now. Anyone who knows NY City and traffic, let alone the extra gas and tolls and time, would understand if Melvin said sorry I can't do today or have to reschedule or have to charge extra now or have to refund altogether but he answered with the easiest going "no problem mistakes happen" and headed right up to Westchester to my house.

Once at my house he found that the install may require an extension cord to run through the wall. I wasn't home but he called me and asked if I had one. I wasn't sure and directed him to where one might be, but in the interim he offered that "not to worry," if I didn't have an extension cord he would run out to a local store and get it for me to complete the install (ends up I had one that he found). People in general don't go out of there way like this, and I greatly appreciated it.

After the install he texted me a picture of the completed job and stated that if I wasn't completely satisfied he would be happy to come back and fix or reposition anything. None of which is needed as the installation was perfectly positioned and professionally installed. If you have the need, I highly recommend Melvin from All City!

"PERFECT! PERFECT! AND MORE PERFECT!
We found this place called Trust Builders, LLC, on Angie's List  (Of Course), and James (people call him Jim) had answered the phone. I called him up on the phone letting him know what the situation was, and how bad it was. Jim did a perfect job with everything that he did here. First of all, this is a very hard working man. I have never seen anyone take out LARGE portions of walls apart, so meticulously, so perfectly neat and with precision skill. The wall sections that were damaged were removed and discarded. Jim gets right down there in the wall, and takes out ALL of the dangerous BLACK MOLD by removing that harmful horror that we lived with for so many years. He was working so vigorously and managed to vacuum out everything that was such a difficult and tedious job.
Jim worked for many hours on his first day at the house, RE-building the beams that rotted out on the first wall that needed work. Everything to perfection. The next and last visit to work here, was just as industrious and he just works his heart out. This guy worked so hard, we felt that he was really true to his word. He gave us a written estimate of EXACTLY what work needed to be done, and to the mark, we paid that exact price. In fact, the verbal price we were quoted at the beginning was higher than what we actually paid, due to the fact that the second wall was not as rotted as the first, and required less work. Jim told us that himself, he didn't mince words or take extra because it didn't require as much work as the first wall. Very Honest, Jim let us know right away, there would be a REDUCTION in our estimate.

I'll tell you something, this guy puts hard work, sweat and strength into his work. Jim KNOWS this business. He acts like a  PROFESSIONAL throughout, he was prompt, and got started almost immediately. He even ran out to get the materials after he was here, showed us receipts for all he purchased, and even left us the extra materials!   I would ABSOLUTELY hire Jim again on the spot. All I can say is, a job like this takes a lot of precision. If a contractor doesn't do the work correctly, harsh chemical black rot irritants could become airborne. He was very careful and we got kicked out of the room to the upstairs (nicely) for our safety. He cleaned every bit of the areas that were worked on, that the area didn't even seem like anyone worked there. Only that it looked so much better. Great Job. If you know anything about carpentry, if it isn't done right, it becomes a real big problem.  The price that we received for all of this work was unbelievably reasonable. VERY REASONABLE FOR ALL OF THE WORK THAT WAS REQUIRED OF THIS JOB. Friendly, Professional, Business - Like, and knows the business. Is there ANY reason to use anyone else? I recommend Jim for this type of work. You wouldn't believe all of the other beautiful woodwork he does. I've seen it in pictures.  Everything as promised here both in work detail and in price.  WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY? AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED. Hire again?  ANYTIME!  YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT  : )

AND I HOPE THAT WE ARE ALLOWED TO SAY, WE LOVE EVERYTHING THAT HE DID FOR US AND LOVE HIS WORK!

THIS IS THE WAY WORK AND SERVICE SHOULD BE!  GOOD SERVICE IS RARE THESE DAYS. WE ARE  HAPPY CUSTOMERS!  "

"Right from the get go Mark was a very responsive and courteous professional contractor. He was able to repair wood siding on my house that several other contractors did not want to touch, so a positive problem solver! Window trim around a difficult to reach window in the basement was also repaired which came out perfect, as well as some rotting wood on the outside trim of the house. I would definitely recommend this contractor."

"Diane was great! I wasn't sure if I was going to order my own mailbox/post and just have them install or have Diane's company do it all. After speaking with her, it was an easy decision to have them take care of everything. Her prices were extremely fair and reasonable, and she was able to work around my schedule. Her installers were professional, neat, and friendly - they did a terrific job! I would definitely use them again, and I plan on recommending them to my friends and family."

"I was very impressed with this company. We had said when we scheduled the appointment that we absolutely positively needed the carpet installed within two days. We were on a very tight time table: closing on Tuesday afternoon, needed carpet installed on Weds, and then receive furniture from storage on Thursday. There was no room for error.
When the owner came to meet me the evening, right after we closed on the apartment (not Mike but his partner), he brought a selection of carpets that he said he had in stock and were available for installation the next day. All I had to do was say the word and he would be there at a specific time. If I have any complaint, it is that the selection was rather limited, but then again, beggars can't be choosers. So, I picked the color and quality we wanted. He measured. I wrote a check and told him I would tell him what time to come the next day.
Though there was a little confusion over who said what about the time of delivery (they showed up essentially before I had called to say I was ready), the installation went off without a hitch and it took a LONG time, too. I don't know if it had to do with the odor remediation or the install itself, but for whatever reason, the installers were there into the evening. Nonetheless , they did an awesome job and the carpet looks great.
I would totally use them again, though I hope this carpet lasts for a very long time. So far, I see no signs that it won't.

"They researched the door installation on-line and were relentless to getting the job done. They were prompt and very considerate of my time. An eager and very pleasant couple."
