"The workers did a good job but, watch out for the price. I was quoted a price of 2300.00 for my jobs. Then I was asked to give him 100.00 good faith deposit. When I cancelled the electrician he told me no problem and would take 500.00 off the price. When the job was done he told me I owes him 2000.00. WHAT? 2300.00 less 500.00 is 1800.00 and he said he forgot about the deposit, This would take it down to 1700.00. He basically called me a liar that he said 400.00 off for the electrical. GET IT IN WRITING. I don't trust him and will never use again. JUST BEWARE!!!!"

"Jan was so effortless to work with. He responded quickly to my inquiries, arrived and departed when he said he would. The quality of the drywall repair and paint match was exceptional. Covering room furnishings and cleanup was a hallmark of his work. And the cost of his labors was incredibly reasonable. I’m making a list of future projects for his handiwork."

Welcome, Bienvenidos, Passion, Love, Inspiration, Focus, Belief; all hallmarks of what we offer! You pick the task, we select the frame, the overall picture will equal your investment! -Cole
"I am EXTREMELY disappointed in Cole who said he was the head of this Company and here is why: COLOR ME STUPID! Several people suggested I not hire the guy that has "The Handyman/ 386- 244-7823" sign on Daytona Ave; that i should hire someone licensed. I was goiing to wait, but he seemed great and had a certif of liability insurance. He did work really hard all day yesterday pulling a bunch of dead bamboo cane off my .5 acre yard. He said he is on track for his GC lic but that had not happened for him yet, but was a hard worker that would also do yard cleanup. I was impressed with what sounded like a young person really trying to get somewhere. He was very personable. I wanted to help him so I gave him the job. After he left last eve I found a note frm the city saying all canes and such must be no more than 5 ft; I had mistakenly told Cole 6 ft. I immediately called him and explained this and he said, "do not worry about it. I have chain saws and I will come by tomorrow afternoon to run through the piles with my saw. It will not take any time at all and I will not chg u". I thanked him and intended to give him a generous tip the nxt day since i was the one that told him no longer than 6 ft. Today I ckd the piles and found most to b longer than 6 ft-lots were 7ft, 8 ft, some even longer. When I heard frm him this afternoon he said he would come now, but I would have to pay him another $100 to cut it all to 5 ft and stack it neatly-since I told him 6 ft. I told him that was extremely disappointing on the heels of what he said the eve before about "easy chainsaw run through & no extra charge". I argued at least half was longer than the agreed 6 ft. His response was he would not come unless I gave him $100 more since I now needed everything 5 ft. I told him to come on, but that I had always cut to 6 ft, piled neatly and it was always picked up. I bet if he had actually done 6 ft or less like agreed I would never had been tagged. (My hse is to be on the mkt for sale nxt week-as soon as my appraisal comes back and I did not know what else to do). He arrived, said he wanted the $100 up frnt and would take care of it. Just a few minutes later he said he had to go change out his chain saw and I took my $100 backto hold till he (hopefully) returned. He returned and came to door saying he was plugging into my elec outlet because his chainsaw was flooded he had to use a different saw would start as soon as i gave him the $100. I showed him the $100 bill laying right inside the door on the table, said I would pay him as soon as I saw he cut it all to 5 ft or less and he could trust in that: after all this I was not comfortable giving him $ before he did it right. He said ok plugged in his long extn cord, ran it to the street stood there looking at the piles, unplugged the cord and drove off!!!!! You are probably thinking; "that's what u get": I just ust needed to vent I guess. I am so mad at me & at him!!! Lesson Learned!!!!!"

"The service provided was above and beyond my expectation. I had a bathroom exhaust fan installed which required cutting holes in the drywall/ceiling and drilling holes through the concrete wall to vent the exhaust fan. He provided excellent and professional service and consultation. There were many instances where he could have charge me a lot more but he honestly informed me if it was required or could wait. I would DEFINITELY hire him again and HIGHLY recommend his services."

For most standard interior doors, professional installation takes approximately three hours from start to finish. The timeframe may extend if complications arise, such as the need for wall repairs or custom fitting. More complex installations like pocket doors or double French doors require additional time. If you're tackling the project yourself, expect the process to take longer, especially if you're new to door installation.
Most straightforward door frame replacements don't require building permits since they're considered minor improvements that don't affect structural elements. However, if your project involves widening the door opening, creating a new doorway, or modifying load-bearing walls, you'll likely need to obtain a permit from your local building department. Historical districts and some homeowners associations may have additional requirements or restrictions.
For a DIY interior door installation, you'll need basic tools including a tape measure, level, power drill with various bits, screwdriver set, hammer, utility knife, and shims. You might also need a saw for trimming the door if necessary, sandpaper for smoothing edges, and a chisel for creating hinge mortises. Having a helper makes the job considerably easier, especially when positioning and holding the door during installation.
When measuring for a replacement door, determine whether you need just the door slab or a pre-hung unit that includes the frame. For a slab door, measure the width, height, and thickness of your existing door. For a pre-hung door, measure the width and height of the rough opening (from stud to stud and floor to header). Also note the swing direction—whether the door opens to the left or right when facing it from the outside of the room.
