He went above and beyond by removing 3 large nails left in the wall by the previous owner, that I was going to have to leave there cause I didn't want to mess up the drywall to try and remove them. I came home from work and noticed the wall was like new. Very respectful of our home also. Wouldn't hesitate hiring him and his crew again. Great job guys!!"

"If you need work done on your house, hire Rob. I can’t sing his praises loudly enough. Two years ago, my husband and I purchased a house that is 100 years old. It is in decent shape, but we wanted to do a lot of work to turn it into our dream house. Rob has been our go-to man throughout this extensive process, and we can’t imagine having done it without him. In fact, without him, I don’t think it could have gotten done, or rather it would have been MUCH harder (me having to find people for each job), and slower. Rob can do everything. We hired John Wood of JAW Construction to transform a building shell originally intended to be a shop for building trusses into a small house (officially an auxiliary dwelling unit or ADU) and are thrilled we found him. The job required skills that extended beyond new construction to include the insight, skill and craftsmanship of a highly experienced remodeling expert. He possessed these in spades. Beyond his own expertise, he has assembled a set of sub-contractors that are excellent craftsmen in their own areas of expertise. The job was doubly challenging given that for much of the construction period we were out of state getting our old home ready for sale. This also meant that an extra element of trust was involved. John sent us pictures of the progress, so that we could monitor from a distance. In addition, he was able to identify and rectify several flaws in our design. As with any large construction/remodeling project, there were some unexpected expenses that came up, but John worked with us to help limit cost overruns, sometimes foregoing profits. He was also always up front about the costs of the various components. Our new home is gorgeous and reflects his sharp eye for detail. We couldn’t be happier. "Overall Jay is excellent. He is responsive, always answers texts or phone calls quickly and generally does what he says he will do. Like all construction projects there were small issues along the way but Jay got on top of them and addressed them quickly. Site was clean during construction work, his subs/trades were all good, nice people, skilled workers who did excellent quality work. Overall this was done well and in an acceptable timeframe. I think generally construction could have been executed quicker, there were a few times when no-one was working at the house that could have shaved some time. But, given my extensive experience with construction Jay is one of the good ones ! His estimate was high but he came in well under it and within sight of what I expected things to cost. I will (I am) definately using him again..."
