"We hired Lecla Home Improvements LLC for new roof, chimney cap, major water damaged bedroom repair ( ceiling , walls & carpet) and for replacement windows etc. Our home was badly damaged by the May 15th tornado to the roof, bedroom, kitchen and widows. We had other contractors bid for the job. When my wife & I met with Luis Clavijo, we felt he is the guy to do the job. Luis was punctual and was very professional and extremely knowledgeable about his field of work and in explaining to us in detail of the scope of the work involved, above all he is very humble. Since we have to work with the Insurance company, Luis prepared a very detail breakdown of his estimate to submit to the insurance company and met with the adjuster at the house to go over the breakdown to agree on the final price. Not only he and his team were punctual, he also has great communication and sense of urgency by returning phone calls or e-mails promptly. His team captain Henry was at site all the time during the roof installation and bedroom repairs and for other jobs. Our roof has multiple steep areas with unusual roof architecture with multiple peaks, valleys and dorm. His team was very efficient and has done the job in 2 days and we are very pleased with the outcome. When I asked Luis for some other small jobs that need to be done at the house, not related to damage by tornado, he was very accommodative and instructed Henry to take care of it and Henry did a great job. He did such a nice job on the roof and bedroom etc, we decided to change additional windows at our house that were not part of the tornado damage, totaling the no of replacement windows to be 20. The Job was done very well and wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again. I would highly recommend Lecla Home Improvements LLC to any roof, home improvement or window replacement job."

"The work when as plan on the date given and the roof looks great. They installed air vents into the shingles that allow more air to enter the attic on those hot and humid days when the temperature in the attic can reach over 120 degree. Some may not like the look of it, but it looks nice to me. A portion of my living room ceiling was damage during the roof deck installation and they came back a day later to repair the sheetrock. I did discover a hair line crack in another section of the ceiling that I fail to mention. As of this writing it is raining extremely hard outside so I checked to see if there was any leak especially from the skylights and there is no leaks. By the way, their quote was the lowest from three other reputable roofing in the Dutchess County area. I would hire again. J.M."

"Very impressed with responsiveness, professionalism, technology, and value provided by Gunner Roofing. The copper flashing was pulling away from around my chimney and looked like it was in need of repair or replacement. I had previously worked with another well reviewed roofing company on Angie's List that missed my scheduled appointment to examine my chimney flashing. So I was very pleased when Andrew from Gunner showed up exactly when promised, and I was quite fascinated with his use of a drone to take precise aerial photographs of the work to be performed from all angles - a rather tech savvy approach. Gunner provided a detailed estimate within hours, that was only 1/3 the cost of the estimate I ultimately received from that other roofer. Gunner Roofing completed the work on time, and did a very satisfactory job. This was a relatively modest project, but based on my experience, I hope to use Gunner Roofing when it comes time to redo my entire roof."

"The entire Exterior Pro Builders team were nothing short of professional. Billy V. was extreme helpful and responsive throughout the estimate & product selection process. Alexis, the office manager, ensured constant communication throughout the entire administrative and scheduling process. Marco, the owner of the company, was amazing. Not only was he on-site through-out the entire roof replacement job, he is a true professional and an honest business man. During the installation, he noticed a color variation in the shingles caused by multiple lot numbers from the supplier. He immediately pointed out the issue to me and without hesitation had his team rip-off the shingles that had already been installed and start the job over again. I highly recommend Marco and his team to anyone in need of a roof installation. I have a second roof replacement project in the near future and will definitely use Exterior Pro Builders."

"<ol> <li>Mr. Melara installed the gutters on Oct. 13th, 2015.  I would not hire him again to do any work on my house.  </li> </ol> <br /> Overall, these highlight our experience with Miguel <br /> <ul> <li></li> </ul>     Miguel installed the gutters with his main focus on having them look good.  However, I put a hose to my roof and checked the gutters. They did not drain completely. I had a 1/2inch of standing water 4 out of 5 gutters.  Why did this happen? <br />     <br />     Miguel did not snap a chalk line on the fascia to make sure of the pitch.  He eyeballed it by having the gutters only drop about 7/8th of an inch over the full run of the gutters.  This includes three 25ft runs and one 40ft run.  It is not enough.  <br />    <br />     When I had concerns about pitch, pointed out mistakes, or asked follow up questions, the answers were subversive, a lie, or incomplete.  <br />     I had to have Mr. Melara back for a 2nd day in order to fix the pitch of the gutters and screw in portions of the gutter he did not screw in.  This time, I made sure they were pitched correctly while he was present.  Again, MIguel did this by eyeballing it, not with any real measurement or line.  <ul> </ul> <ul> </ul> <p>My last experience was to be severely over charged for a downspout in the back of my house.  The estimate was $375 to remove a few deck boards, dig under the deck and install a run of 4 inch corrugated drain pipe.  My wife and I decided to opt to just run downspouts as we have had bad luck with underground drainage.  I expected the price for installing 2 extra downspouts with 2 extra elbows to be significantly less (there is no digging, grading of dirt, pitching an underground pipe, deck replacement).  Instead, Mr. Melara charged us an additional $125 to total $500.  He claims the materials cost more but 10ft downspouts are $13 compared to $6 for 10ft drain pipe.  I was to tired at the time to negotiate or recognize that I was being grossly overcharged and ripped off.  Buyer beware of this behavior.<br /> <br /> <br /> </p>"

"nI was referred to Lee Lewis and Elite Contracting by a friend who used them for a siding job.  I took bids from multiple contractors, but found working with Elite to be an excellent experience.  Despite knowing he came with a recommendatio, Lee worked hard to earn our trust and our business, and I found his cost to be very fair and reasonable.  Even more important than cost was the comfort level I had in working with Lee.  He was very friendly and professional, and I felt like he really wanted to do business with us.  The start of the job was delayed due to weather (completely out of anyone's control), but Lee kept in very close contact with me as we approached the start date, and regularly apologized for the delays caused by Mother Nature.  We were going on vacation right before the job was scheduled to start.  Rather than delay the start, we trusted Elite Contracting enough to give Lee keys to our house so they could install the new windows and door while we were away.  The crew left the house clean and even hung up our new blinds.  Lee also kept the lines of communication open once the job started.  He even sent us a few pictures while we were away so we could see progress being made.  Once we returned, I would receive calls or texts every few days to make sure we were happy with the progress and to see if we had any questions.  His focus was always on making sure we were pleased with his work.  As Lee and the crew were leaving the day the work was finished, Lee made sure to tell me to be in touch if I had any questions or concerns, emphasized that he stands behind all is work, and reminded me of the window warranty.  Ultimately, we are really pleased with the work, and the entire experience and highly recommend Elite Contracting. <br />"

"To start this review, let me give a little background info. My wife and I closed on a house the 29th of August, our son then was born 2+ weeks early on the 31 of August and we were scrambling to get the house ready and moved into. Lots of painting! While painting, we discovered a major leak in the attic (the ceiling was paper thin) and that lead to emergency water and mold abatement as well as a complete roof replacement since the home inspection missed a pretty big issue in our attic and never went on the roof to properly inspect. I called a couple roofing companies, including Gkontos and was pleasantly surprised to see them go in the attic and inspect as well as on the roof and photographed everything. The other companies merely went on the roof only and then gave me an estimate. I had a quote within 2-3 days and was a little shocked at the amount it was and how much more it was then the other companies I called. However after reviewing the quotes and seeing how this company did there estimate versus the others, it seems like a no brainer and it came with 50 year shingles and a life time warranty. I had the insurance company breathing down my neck to get the roof fixed or they were gonna label my property vacant. I called back regarding the quote (Friday afternoon) and asked how soon they could come. The girl, Katie was so helpful and said they could be out there Tuesday morning first thing. Tuesday came and the crew showed up with tools, material and a dumpster at 0730 and got to work. Alex Popovic was the project manager of the job and I can’t even begin to explain of great he was. He was the first on site and the last to leave. He explained everything that was going on, answered questions and was very attentive to me as the customer, his workers, and the property, ensuring everything was well done and moving smoothly and efficiently. In between managing the job site, he was super helpful with his years of home building, to help answer some other general and specific questions I had I regarding various projects I was working on and planning to do. If he wasn’t so busy, I was willing to hire him on the spot to help GC some other projects I want to do around the house. But he is loyal and committed to Gkontos Roofing. I can’t recommend him and the crew enough and my good friend should be calling them today for another roof estimate and job. Overall, the guys in just over one day, -pulled up the old roof -replaced a ton of plywood -installed eve vents -replaced both chimney caps - installed siding - installed ridge vent -installed flashing -installed new fascia -installed new siding around chimney And some other stuff I can’t remember specifically. Don’t waste your time with anyone else. Call this company for your roofing needs. You won’t be disappointed."
