The project that they just completed for me was on my own home and they far exceeded the hopes and expectations that I started out with. I am an older disabled veteran, and I was experiencing a little bit of a struggle with maintaining the upkeep around my home that I only recently purchased in the last few years, due to the architectural modifications that had been done by previous owners. I own half an acre in a residential community far out on the eastern side of Pueblo county and over the years, much of the property had been converted to a rock and road base design, to include the driveway. I had no concrete or asphalt surfaces anywhere to do work on, the sloping and grading were off which caused drainage issues with rain and snow, and much of the weed barrier that had been installed under the rock and road base was no longer effective and had begun to allow weeds to grow up through. My initial project was for a driveway to finally be installed from which I could plan the remainder of my landscaping. I began by researching and identifying 6 companies that do concrete work. Honestly, I only looked up and contacted David Vigil and DeAngel’s Concrete (number 7) as an after thought because I wanted someone who wasn’t local to give me an estimate for comparison. That was my biggest mistake, I should have just contacted David first and saved myself a lot of time. I began by contacting all of the companies on my list first thing in the morning. David was the first to respond to me mid-afternoon that very same day and set an appointment time to meet with me the very next morning. I live over an hour away from his business location and he was on my doorstep in less than 24 hours ready to discuss my project and give me an estimate. Right from the start David was unlike any contractor that I am used to speaking with. When I told him that the driveway was only the start of a much bigger project, he immediately wanted to hear my entire vision for the finished project so that he could accurately plan the driveway to properly support everything else that is coming. David spent a few hours with me that morning walking the property and listening to me talk and offering possibilities and telling me the things that I should be taking into consideration. He explained to me in simple terms how the driveway project would tie in with the rest of the landscaping that I have planned, what things I should I take into consideration with my current layout versus what I am going for, and what I should realistically expect. David continually told me that his focus is on making my vision a reality and giving me exactly what I am going for, and when I mentioned something that I may not have been realistic or accurate on, he was great at clearing it up without making me feel embarrassed for being off. The entire crew at DeAngel’s Concrete are total professionals and absolutely dedicated to what they do. Delano the foreman, in addition to being one of the hardest working men I have ever met, always had time to stop what he was doing and answer any questions that I had or address any concerns if David was unavailable. He is very polite and courteous and makes you feel like you’re a friend. Walter would arrive very early every single day to begin setting things up for the day’s planned activities and was always pleasant and enthusiastic and hard working. Someone from DeAngel’s Concrete was at my home, every single day, until the project was complete. Either David or Delano (usually both) were always onsite and available, unless something came up that required both of them to be away – which was rarely ever. When those occasions would come up, David would promptly notify me and give me a time to expect them back. He would also stay in contact by text or phone while they were away to make sure that everything was still good."

Covered concrete during rain, waited 2 hours for rain to pass, did an excellent job on the finish work, then covered the concrete again in case it rained after it was finished. I was very happy with the work which was about 1000 square feet to complete the driveway, patio, and sidewalk. I contracted on Friday and it was done on Monday, quicker than I thought was possible."
