"The DeAngels crew did a great job on our driveway, but what really impressed me was the responsiveness. I asked for references, and David responded with names, addresses and photos. He sent me videos of the work he had done at other locations. He responded promptly to texts; he answered phone calls; his team showed up on time and was good to work with. What could have been 3 days of anxiety was actually kind of . . . fun. If we need concrete work in our future landscaping, we'll be sure to call DeAngels again."

"Professional, customer oriented, prompt and competent workmanship. Work was performed efficiently and effectively. Mike was prompt and punctual from quote and consultation, site prep, and job completion, including site clean-up upon completion of pour and finishing. My project was pouring a 1200 square foot, concrete floor inside an engineered steel garage. The finished job turned out to exceed my expectations. "

"Can not say enough good things about this company. From start to finish, they were great to work with and did a fantastic job on two large concrete patios and a fire pit in my former jungle of a backyard! Robert was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. The team of guys that did the work were so dedicated, there long hours to complete parts of the project and meticulous about cleaning up. If I could give 10 stars I would!"

"He was really professional. Told me exactly what he was going to do and broke the invoice down and showed me exactly where my money was going. He was on time got the job done exactly how he said he was going to. Cleaned up after the job was done and left my place better then when he got there. I will be using him for other projects in the future. Highly recommend him and his crew. "

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Pueblo, CO

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
