"I had steel front entry door that faced the morning sunlight. As a result of this, along with paint color, the door (and sidelights) absorbed a lot of heat and underwent a lot of expansion and contraction. This expansion eventually led to the sidelight trim to bust causing a drafty entryway and moisture intrusion. Also, probably as a result of the house settling after construction, both the entry door and and storm door were not square and didn't shut and latch properly. I went to the showroom and informed Mr. Pittner of my problems and he suggested the type of door I should get installed which I agreed to. Mr. Pittner called before coming out to perform the removal and installation and they arrived on time. They made two trips out to the house, the first to install entry door then later to install the storm door after I painted the entry door (I wanted to save a little bit so I did the paint myself) They performed the work quickly and quietly (as quiet as you can for a construction job!) and were even open to any questions I asked during the process. They were thorough in their clean up as well. I am very happy with the installation and am no longer embarrassed by my front door. I would definitely recommend this Pittner Services and if I ever have a similar job (windows, doors, etc.) they will be the first I would call.
My only "complaint" would be the timing of installation. I got the initial quote towards the end of May, installation of the entry door occurred in mid July, and completion of the project with the storm door in mid September. When we were determining a day to come out I was put on the schedule as ASAP, meaning that the installation shouldn't take long and they would fit me in between bigger jobs. I can't really complain much because I wasn't in a hurry to get the job completed and if I wanted it done sooner I would have requested a firm date, so some of the "blame" could have been put on me. Weather also played a role, we ended up having a wet June so that pushed a number of jobs back. Another reason I can't complain much is they when they did come out in July, it was after a nice cold front pushed through which knocked the temps down near 80 degrees, so I saved in not having to run the AC while they had the front entry way wide open during installation. Finally, when they made the second trip out to install the storm door they took a look at and repaired a closing and latching problem I was having with my back patio door (installed by a Lowes installer a couple years earlier, had simliar thermal expansion and moisture problem) at no extra cost! I wish I had Pittner for that job. I can look at time issue in a positive light however, if it took this long to come out to complete the job due to other projects going on, then there are other people that see that they perform quality work.
"

"We were not happy with them and we didn't like the way they kind of put on the pressure for us to sign up for that membership, We used them twice more to get our moneys worth and then we weren't gonna call them anymore, we wouldn't use them again. I would say the job they did was done well, they started out by saying they have to replace the whole toilet and we said well that was ridiculous this one could be repaired and it was just like they were always this particular man maybe it was just this salesman, repair man just seem to push push push to make every thing cost more, that was the part of it we didn't like so we ended up thinking well we didn't know if we paid a fair price are not in the end."

"Overall very happy with the work. Probably because we began the work in the dead of winter (January), he was able to begin as soon as we hired him. Brad usually gets his workers started in the mornings and then leaves to monitor or bid other jobs, but we were quite pleased and comfortable with Wade, who has been with him for many, many years, and his helper, Jesse. They were courteous and very careful with our belongings. Every afternoon before they left, they put furniture back in place, even when we told them it wasn't necessary. This is important to Brad and is something he stresses.
In the kitchen and bathrooms, we had wallpaper. After examining it, the decision was made to paint over it, rather than butcher the walls trying to remove it. They sealed and sanded all seams, then primed with Kilz before painting. Honestly, if you didn't know there was wallpaper under the paint, you'd never notice. Excellent job.
The cabinet painting was an adventure. My bad, but we didn't decide to paint them until after the walls in those rooms were already painted. They had to take the doors offsite to paint them because they were being sprayed and had to be laid out to dry. This happened during a very wet February, and trying to dry them at our house would have been impossible. That was the only time things were not cleaned up at the end of the day, and that was only because they very carefully closed off the rooms they were working in with plastic and tape.
Great job painting the exterior. And we were more than happy with the job they did on our fence. We had thought we'd have to replace or paint it, but once they pressure washed it and then stained and sealed it, it looks like new. Several neighbors have talked to him about doing the same to theirs.

"

"This was an excellent experience. We had a list of handyman projects that we could not do. The estimator came out and
evaluated the job and issued the estimate. The scheduler originally scheduled the work several weeks later for the first available date, but when she heard that the garage door was not functioning, she called two days later with an earlier date due to a
cancellation. The gentleman that did the work was helpful and professional. He also advised us on repairs to our brick facing
around the doorbell and the one item that was not repairable. I would highly recommend House Doctors Handyman division
and will use them on future repair projects."

"My wife and I, wanted to have some custom cabinets built, in a recessed wall, in our dining room, to match the cupboards above. Mr. Greg Slinkard, measured up the recess, took notes about the cupboards above and said he'd order the wood (Ash), and build the cabinets to our design specs. After three weeks, he was ready to install the cabinets. When he brought the finished product indoors, we were amazed, at the high quality product he installed. The fit was perfect. Quality, Craftsmanship, attention to detail were abundantly evident. Mr. Slinkard, takes great pride, in his workmanship. To say we were pleased, would be an understatement. So, if you have requirements for woodcraft products, I strongly urge you, to contact Slinkard Woodcraft for a quote. You won't be disappointed. Also, his prices, are extremely reasonable.
