Customers say: True professional

"Let me tell you, Mr. Dale from Crest Electric was prompt, profesional, and persistent to complete all of our projects. We had him hang a beautiful chandelier! Plus he completed 7 additional electrical projects while there! His prices were reasonable, he even wouldn’t leave when I mentioned an outside light. Crest Electric is a credible and reliable company. He is our Rolodex for return work. I am scheduling as I writing this review. Don’t lose out on a quality and respectful electrician."

"He not only installed an EV charger for me but also set up a charging station outside my home. Initially, I wasn't satisfied with it and called him to express my concerns. He returned promptly and made the necessary adjustments. He is very dedicated to his work and understands his customers' feelings. I highly recommend his services!."

"Very reasonable and professional. I've been having problems with my breaker for a few weeks. Called and spoke with Dale and he assured me he'd be out to check on it the following day. He not only fixed my problem with the breaker he also checked other surrounding wires to ensure I wouldn't have future problems! Excellent company and and great work ethics. Highly recommend!!!"

"We had a power outage as a result of an old, outdated breaker box. Naturally it occurred on a Friday night which is after hours for everyone. Rags Electrical Heating and Cooling was by far the best price and they arrived within an hour, with traffic. The electrician was incredibly helpful and fixed the problem quickly. The do not overcharge and they do the job right! I'd highly recommend them to anyone!"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Queenstown, MD

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
