"I've read reviews from other people, and it's interesting how people can have different experiences. I had a 26X65 concrete slab put in, and culvert put in along with some grading done. Kevin came when he said he would and did what he said he would do. I guess my experience overall was one that hit a lot of different angles. The work done was great, but there were some misunderstandings that was of no fault of Kevin's, but I made them his. One of which was no fault of mine, either, but the company led me down the wrong path painting the picture that what Kevin was supposed to do didn't. As I was out of town, I called him up and voiced my displeasure. He responded very professionally and explained the situation to make me understand that he did do what was asked of him. A couple other times, a text went awry and something else that I have since forgotten. But each time he handled himself professionally and had no attitude despite being falsely accused. I'm sorry to hear of other people's situation, but I can only speak for myself and what I experienced. The other thing that impressed me was Kevin was willing to haul his equipment, and did, from a few hours away to regrade an area that this company said they couldn't get across, which was the companies miscommunication. The other thing is response time. There was one time it took a while for him to respond, but living in a rural area, and given that if you're in the middle of a job, I can't expect someone to always be available. One time we even lost connection due to how things are. Just something to keep in mind if you live in an area with ONE bar : /"

"Jimmy's crew's came in and did the needed demolition to prepare the basement for finishing, first covering the stairway opening with plastic covering to keep the dust out of the upstairs living quarters. Paper runners were placed down on the hardwood flooring through the travel areas of the upstairs where workers needed to travel while getting to and from the basement area.  The job began in early summer of 2013 and was projected to be finished in the fall of 2013. The various aspects of construction progressed throughout the summer with the usual surprises that often pop up in any construction project. At one point early on in the project we had an open ditch going across the floor from the planned wetbar area to the bathroom, and being a wet spring, the ditch had been constantly filling with groundwater which was being pumped out with a temporary sump pump Jimmy's plumber had set up in the bathroom hole. We got a call from a young houseguest who was staying there during the summer saying that a waterline was broken in the basement and water was gushing into the air all over the place. I instructed her over the phone to shut off the main water supply line and that did nothing to alleviate the problem so when I got over there, discovered that it was the temporary sump pump line that had come loose at the clamp at the top of the pvc pipe and it was gushing like Old Faithful, LOL.  I unplugged the pump and reattached the pvc and that was that. I did let Jimmy know about it though. <br />      Jimmy used sub-contractors for most of the work and the quality was very good for the most part except for a couple of problems we ran into with plumbing, but I have to add that the plumbing was probably the most challenging area to tackle of all the disciplines.  J & R Construction uses an interactive website and mobile system for their clients which allows constant communication back and forth about what is going on in the project at any given time that we found to be fantastic.  If you are away for a few days you can stay up to date with daily posting of pictures of the latest progress.  Questions and concerns are addressed quickly by Jimmy or his team members.  Everything was scheduled out in advance so there were virtually no surprises. We knew when we needed to have materials selected, where we needed to meet Seth to pick out fixtures, etc.  Working with the J & R Team was a real pleasure and we would recommend them to anyone looking to do a project.  Our basement was finished in October of 2013 and we couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. Pictures of our Basement are posted on J & R Constructions Website if you are interested in seeing the finished work.  We have now spent the winter using the Basement living space and it is more than what we envisioned, it has truly become another home in our home. <br />"

"The price doesn't include putting the wall board back, which makes it so expensive.They also tried to bail me for the job  before he had even started. I believe he did not remove the mould but only did the spraying.I recommend paying after the work is done.He gave an esteemate of the wallboard and it seems more costly than the actual work."
