"Brothers Carpentry helped me remodel both the primary and guest bathrooms. They installed a tub surround and did other finishing work. I have hired them many times over the years because they are reliable, efficient, and fairly priced. I highly recommend them for any projects you may have."

"I am so pleased with the work Henry and crew (special thanks to Carlos) did. Replaced some drywall, installed new baseboards, and painted master bath and bedroom. It looks beautiful! Henry was very communicative, arrived when he said they would, offered a fair price, and didn't rush. I will definitely hire them again! Now my kids want their rooms painted too."

"Hired Richard King for some exterior fascia board replacements. He and his assistant pulled 2 full pieces from the two different ends of the house ( at the roof line) and replaced it with full pieces of PVC trim. They did a superb job and even went beyond that. They even replaced a couple of previously damaged ( at some point in the past ) shingles in the area. Very meticulous about removing the old one trim piece intact to get a clean template, an exact fit, and also to prevent any damage to other areas. New PVC pieces were nailed, caulked, and painted. I spent a lot of time watching the work, as i wanted it done correctly, and Richard and his assistant impressed me in both their skill in getting the pieces replaced accurately and also with their professionalism and friendliness. They were easy to talk to and very easy to work and did the excellent work. I'll definitely be calling them again for future work and recommend Richard to anyone who's looking for a someone to do solid work for a fair price."

"The provider called and arrived prior to the scheduled time.  He installed the rods efficiently without leaving any debris on the
floors or marks on the walls.  Then he asked if we wanted him to hang the drapes and curtains on the rods.  This was very much appreciated since it was an unexpected request.  In addition to these tasks, he also completed the installation of a towel rod and he was willing to do other jobs for us before he left.

"I will recommend Triangle Home Remodeling (THR) to my friends and neighbors. My laminate floors were installed perfectly and the wood stair treads are beautiful. Really. I know you don't think of stair treads that way, but THR's carpenter is a craftsman and they really are beautiful. Nick, the owner of THR is very honest, open, and responsive to feedback. His staff were conscientious and professional. Bottom line is that I plan to use THR again."

"Geo and his friendly, skilled and hard working crew were fantastic! They framed a large 44+ by 31 inch roof egress window that was quite heavy. They did an excellent job framing to specifications, and expertly installed the roof window. They ensured matching roof shingles and got the job done within 2 days. They left the place very clean and charged very reasonable price. Would hire them again!"

"Allen came just the day after I called him and did a great job on installing a new screen door and was very clean, neat and courteous. Just about a week or so later I called him again and had a new ceiling fan installed. His work was fast and neat. He always cleaned up the left over debris and was very kind. The prices were reasonable and I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family. Very professional business and yes I would hire him again !!"

Customers say: Super punctual

"Reilly was prompt and got to work right away. He read all the instructions for assembling the tv console, then, laid all the pieces out in order of assembly. He worked fast and got it all put together in no time (and there were a lot of pieces to this thing). It is very stable and the doors work smoothly. I also hired him to help me take the old console and get in my SUV. He was a very nice guy who is good at his work and acted very professional. I would certainly hire him again."

FAQs for baseboard installation projects in Raleigh, NC

Installing crown molding can be challenging, depending on the material and your skill level. Lightweight materials like polystyrene and softwoods are easier for homeowners to install themselves, offering a cost-saving option. However, heavier materials like hardwoods and plaster are difficult to work with and require professional installation to achieve a high-quality result. Precision is crucial in measuring, cutting, and fitting crown molding, so hiring a professional ensures the best outcome.

Crown molding is available at various price points, ranging from $1 to $30 per linear foot, depending on the material. This wide range offers options for every budget. Affordable materials like MDF, PVC, and polystyrene provide cost-effective solutions, while premium materials like exotic hardwoods or metal offer a luxurious appearance at a higher cost. Regardless of your budget, you can find crown molding that enhances your home's aesthetic.

Crown molding is installed by professional finish carpenters or painters who specialize in detailed trim work. These experts possess the necessary skills and tools to ensure precise measurements, accurate cuts, and seamless installation. By hiring a professional, you can achieve a flawless finish that enhances your home's aesthetic appeal without the risk of common DIY mistakes.

Crown molding can be installed in various areas of your house to add elegance and architectural interest. It is commonly used where walls meet the ceiling, but you can also place crown molding around doors, windows, mirrors, and atop cabinets. Installing crown molding in these locations enhances visual appeal, creates a cohesive design, and adds a touch of sophistication to your home's interior.

To determine how much crown molding to purchase, start by measuring the length of each wall where you plan to install crown molding and add the measurements together to determine the total linear feet required. Purchase an extra 10% of material to account for waste from cutting angles and to ensure seamless joints by using full-length pieces when possible. Including additional material helps avoid shortages and ensures a smooth installation process.

For a professional crown molding installer, this task takes about 1 to 3 hours per room, depending on size and complexity. Factors like the material, design intricacy, and number of corners can affect the time. If you're doing it yourself, expect it to take longer as you get the hang of measuring and cutting precise angles. Advanced measuring and planning or hiring a pro can help the project go smoothly.
