"Luis was on time, very thorough and even cleaned up the job site afterwards! Hired him to do some repairs to a front door and security screen door including painting and installing a door closer. The painting involved removal of the door hardware, priming and sanding the wood, masking and then painting the door. All of which were done in a short amount of time and to my satisfaction! I am definitely planning to hire Luis again for future projects. Highly recommended."

"great to work with, punctual and respectful of our home. Cleans up after himself, very much appreciated since most contractors/handymen donâ t do this. He did a lot of small projects with us and helped get our home Back to great condition! He was able to fix our transition for the door, replace the door entirely, installation of multiple ceiling fans(without existing box or wiring),, replace an old ac unit we had, install bathroom exhaust fan, paint and match texture after drywall repair. He is very reliable and was very fair in his pricing. We would not hesitate to hire him again for our future house-related needs. Great handyman to have in our contact list for future home improvement."

"Fantastic. Would absolutely hire again. I received a call shortly after submitting the project via Angi; they were professional and personable. They had a spot to come see the project and provide a quote that afternoon and did so. The work required was not massive and did not require the acquisition of speciality parts/equipment, so they repaired the roof as soon as I gave the OK after receiving the estimate. They are really great to work with, and I will absolutely keep them in my contacts for future projects."

"Dave is very responsive and and very knowledgeable. He fixed my closet door and I have hired him to do a lot more work for me. I know he is good because he definitely keeps busy with multiple repair jobs. If you want something done go to the busy person. They find way to make it happen."

"Joel and his team did a great job. JB Handyman is really a professional service that is great to work with. I handed Joel a list of about a dozen small and medium sized projects that needed to be completed around the house. Joel promptly delivered an estimate and his team of 3 got started on the work. He also provided me with proof of insurance, which gave me great piece of mind as he performed the work on my house. The initial projects were a variety of plumbing, electrical, drywall and carpentry projects, as well as some structural projects on my deck. All were completed efficiently and with high quality standards. After my initial projects were completed I hired Joel for two additional projects (foundation work, fence and gate repair, and painting) and again his team did great work and provided a great value for the money paid. I highly recommend Joel and I personally will be using him again for jobs both small and large. I recommend you consider doing the same."

FAQs for handyman service projects in Rancho-Bernardo, CA

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
