"I contacted four of the top rated angies list roofers in north county, all award winners...using the Angie's list mobile app. Three responded by the first business day and setup appointments to give me a quote. Mike at Sequoia was able to meet me the soonest. Had a quote already prepared using online data. He sat down at my kitchen table and explained the materials he uses, bringing a sample of the underlayment so I could see how durable it was. Also showed me options for low-e foil to reduce energy costs as well as new tile options. Not a high pressure sales but as informing me of the options. His crew started the following week and finished within a week and a half. Crew was punctual always starting promptly at 8am and cleaned up at the end of every day. We just had some of the worst rains with 4in in 4 days of almost noon stop rain. Rains used to be a time of anxiety because we knew we'd be wondering where the next leak would show up. But now with our new roof we are stress free and feel so grateful to Mike and Sequoia Roofing getting us our new roof just in time for this unbelievable rainy season! Oh and regarding the other 3 roofers i contacted... One came to my house but never gave me a quote Other one scheduled appointment but never showed up, never responded to my voicemail asking about rescheduling Third one never responded to my initial request for a quote"

He said none of these concerns interfered with the safety or integrity of our roof, and explained everything in a way that a layperson such as me would understand. In short, Rick said our roof is in great shape and doesn’t need to have anything done at all. He could have simply agreed with the other contractor and racked up more business for himself if he had wanted to do so; instead he didn’t charge me a cent for his time and effort although I would have been very happy to pay for the peace of mind he gave me. "We hired Alvarez Roofing to repair our patio repair the roofing on our patio covers. The previous installers did not seal the torch down material properly. This resulted in leaks and damaged the wood. Alvarez Roofing accessed the damage and it became obvious the people who built our covers cut corners and were not professional. Alvarez took the time to take video and several pictures of all the various repairs required. They never pressured us in anyway. They were very professional and courteous. "I dealt with Leon De Anda for my roof work. Leon was honest and professional and very informative about what could be done with my roof. He offered me a few options and also asked me if there were anything specific I wanted done. I basically described what I wanted and he curtailed his bid to what I was looking for at the best price. I liked the fact that he was honest and straight forward without playing any games or try and screw me over. In the end, I decided to get a whole new roof, down to even getting all new plywood. The men who came to work on the roof were competent and professional. They went to great lengths to only bother me when it was necessary. "Very nice, polite and efficient. After inspecting the roof and chimney flashing Tony told me my roof was actually very well done and in good shape, and that in his opinion the source for water leaking into my home was due to a rusted out chimney case cover and termination cap (I got those items replaced as suggested and my problem was solved). I had actually called two companies to get an analysis and quotes to fix the problem. The other company told that my relatively new roof should be ripped up and replaced in that area of the roof. I appreciate the professional and honest approach of Great Western and they will be who I will use in the future when it does come time to replace or repair my roof."

"It was a pleasure working with Leon and Crown Roofing. Our tile roof is 28 years old and had developed a couple of leaks. Crown removed the tiles and replaced the underlayment. They are very competitive on pricing. Everything was included in his price, including any damaged wood that they might find when they removed the tiles. Other contractors charged additional for any unseen damage. His crew was always on time, were professional, did the project in a timely manner and a very good job of cleanup at the end of each day.
