"Had 2 projects with Odds and Ends. Flooring and backsplash in kitchen were well done. Metallic Epoxy flooring -not so successful. Required removal of old tile, prepping the concrete and applying the epoxy. The first time it was done, the color was not even close to the inspiration photo and there was very little contrast. Acknowledging the job was not correct, they agreed to redo it. On the second go, the color was closer to inspiration but the technique used did not really look like what was desired. The color mixing included chunks of color and left a pigmented look in many places. The real issue was the application of the top coat- which was rolled on top leaving a dimpled effect on what should have been smooth like glass. I requested a resolution, even offered to pay for the materials to fix the top cost and was basically ignored. After spending around $3500 - I had to go to another contractor to completely redo the room. Each contractor who came to see the job could not believe someone would have left the job in such poor shape. In addition, when removing the original tile, small pieces of what seemed like tar paper were left all over the room (stuck to walls) but also on the wood floors in the adjacent room and toward the exit door because they did not cover the floor. On what turned out to be the last day of the job, the team recommended several things I might try to remove the mess - instead of cleaning it themselves (it should not have happened if the floor had been covered). The quality of the kitchen floor and backsplash was great. Went above and beyond to do what was needed to improve that space. The sunroom floor was disappointing and the way we were treated was wrong. I wish this app allowed photos, so I could share the floor results."

"Fantastic! Met with Mike for estimate and to discuss the best coating to put on the utility room floor in our new addition. He explained everything in detail as well as the advantages (and disadvantages) of using an epoxy coating over other coatings for a floor this size (we had also considered leaving the floor as is or using cement paint to coat the floor). Scheduling was a breeze and was able to work within our timeline. We were contacted the night before installation to give us an ETA and they also called when they were on their way. The team (Paul and Devin) were courteous and friendly, they explained the process and told us what to expect on the first day (prep and initial application of the epoxy basecoat and chips). Even though the grinder was noisy (expected) it was tolerable. They let us know when they were done, showed us what was completed (beautiful), and cleaned up their work area before leaving. On day two, a crew of four (added Neil and Dylan) arrived to apply the sealant and anti-skid coatings. Again, all gentlemen were friendly, courteous, and professional. Once they finished up Zach (crew supervisor) arrived to review the completed work. Paul left us with instructions and when we could access the area. It was a pleasure working with them, great crew. We waited an extra day to make sure the area was fully dry before we walked on it. There was just a mild (not offensive) odor from the application (which aired out after opening the windows). We were amazed in the difference of the floor. All the blemishes and irregularities were replaced with a floor that was uniform and pristine. The area was brighter, easy to walk on. We chose the coating that had the lifetime warranty. Would definitely recommend Stronghold Floors."

"Perfection! The entire process from initial contact to final coat was seamless. Keith responded to my initial inquiry within hours. We picked a convenient time for him to visit and discuss with us exactly what the proposed project would entail. We wanted our old garage, and a small patio floor, resurfaced. Keiths quote came a day later and we set a time and date (our choosing) for the process. On the appointed day the Granite Garage Floors crew arrived and went to work. Nothing but professionalism here as well. They were courteous, and eager to explain the process, answer our questions. "They works arrived early evening (5 pm) due to an earlier job. They finished up about 9 pm. The came back the next morning and buffed and applied the clear coat. They did a great job! The floor looks great. They filled all the floor cracks and the seam between the floor and wall. The workers were friendly and got right to work when they arrived. "I did not know what to expect when I hired Westminster Painting and Papering (Mr. Robert Seeley President) but now I am glad I did.  It will be very difficult to find a more professional and dedicated businessman.  The tools he used was a brush, roIler and he applied two coats to the ceilings, walls and trim.  I want to add Mr. Seeley was extremely neat and cleaned up after each day of work.  On the last day, I really think he left the residence cleaner than he found it.  Mr. Seeley was very pleasant and personable and I enjoyed his company.  When you hear, "You get what you pay for", this is exactly what they meant.  <br>I recommend Westminster Painting and Papering in the highest regards.   <br>Wayne <br> <br>   "

"This company was wonderful to work with right from the beginning (initially contacted through Angie's list on 8/15/14, estimate performed on 9/03/14, and work completed on 9/10/14).   There were a few hiccups in initial scheduling, but part of that was our fault (we weren't paying attention to the voicemail message providing us with a different phone number to call because they were having phone issues in the office).  Every single person we dealt with was extremely friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable.  They made us feel at ease about the work we were getting done.  <br /> Horizon's quality of work is excellent!  I realize that only time will tell, but so far we've had a couple of very heavy rains since the work was performed an no leaking has occurred.   The aluminum coating they put on the roof looks fantastic - and there are no paint splatters anywhere on the house from the coating.   The guys did a marvelous job of cleaning up after themselves too - we couldn't even tell they were here.  Most contractors I've dealt with, including other roofers, leave behind a giant mess to clean up - and worse, they leave nails behind for people to step on or drive over with their tires (why do contractors do that?)...   anyway, you don't have to worry about any of that with Horizon.  <br /> We are relieved to have a roofing company that is so experienced with flat roofs in Baltimore City.  Horizon Roofing, Inc. will be our permanent go-to company if/when we have any roofing issues in the future.   It is so wonderfully refreshing to receive such top notch, quality service that you can trust!  <br /> <br />"

"They did a great job. There was a little confrontation between my husband and a worker.  The guy didn't want to apologize and admit he was wrong. An A for the work, but the worker had a bad attitude.  He eventually apologized to my husband. When they came, they didn't have any equipment.  They thought we were going to get the paint, but they said they were going to get it.  We said why would we get the paint when you all are doing the service.  It was just a big mix up. I wouldn't use them again.  Not that they weren't good enough, but I'd probably go with someone else."

"I had a good experience with them. Ease of use of the product. They were really clean. The came in, they cleaned up, they got out. Didn't even cost. I didn't feel there were was a huge markup."
