"I would highly recommend Manny and his team to anyone in need of roofing services!! Manny was great at communicating about the project and making suggestions. The team arrived on time, worked efficiently and left everything clean. The quality of their work was excellent! Another family member had used Manny in the past and was also extremely happy with their new roof!"

"I had roof damage from heavy snow and ice. All Complete Construction responded quickly and provided a fair estimate right away and showed up on the scheduled day to install new roof on time. They installed roof while I was traveling. When I returned except for the new roof there was no trace that they had been there. Old damaged gutters were taken away, the work was neat and professional. We will definitely consider this company for future jobs."

"Thank you for my wonderful roof! These guys are not only professional but understanding with the customer’s needs. Ronny was always available for a phone call to discuss my concerns about my roof prior to the start of the project. This company is reliable and trustworthy. The asphalt shingles look great in my new roof. I love my new roof."

"Chris is a pleasure to work with. He showed up quickly after my call and was up on our roof looking for causes of several leaks we had. His assessment was thorough and he took the time to explain in detail our roof situation including issues with the structure underneath the shingles. He was willing to simply fix our leaks but also offered his opinion of the entire roof and other problem areas. His quote was prompt, had great detail on scope of work and was very competitive. He was able to fit our job in quickly. Also want to thank Chris for his willingness to work with our Home Warrantee Insurer who was difficult and required several hrs. Of his time on the phone to gain approvals. His crew showed up as promised on time, set up quickly and were removing the old roof within an hr. Of arrival. They did a great job and clearly know what they’re doing. Chris was on the job and on the roof overseeing the work and making sure everything went perfectly, which it did. His lead guy was professional and his crew stayed busy throughout the job. They did a thorough cleanup after day 1 which was nice. Chris also walked around the house several times as did his crew making sure the final cleanup was complete. Appreciate the effort. I not only would hire Able again, but have already given Chris’s name to several people in my family. We’ve gotten several compliments already on the roof and gutters so a final BIG thanks to Chris and his crew for a job well done. You won’t regret hiring Able for your roofing needs."

"I hired Five Star Roof Cleaning to clean the roof of my Mom’s rancher in Skillman, NJ. I’m very pleased with the work Paul and his company did! Mom’s house is going to be put up for sale in the Spring, and I wanted it to have more curb appeal by getting rid of those ugly black mold stripes and up and down the roof. Also, a few roof areas had green moss patches growing on it (which is harmful to the asphalt roofing tiles). All these problem areas were taken care of! Five Star Roof Cleaning came with all the equipment (hoses, ladders, safety equipment, etc.) and cleaning chemicals needed – all that I needed to provide was a water hose connection. I especially appreciate Paul’s concern for a quality job. The first scheduled date for the project had to be postponed because there was slight snow on part of the roof. Paul said he didn’t want to clean a roof with “frozen” roof tiles because they are too rigid and might break/chip during the cleaning process. Bravo for his concern! Next, I hired him for roof cleaning, but he also cleaned the gutters (not only with both an air blower and power washing, but also simply bending over and hand-picking out the clumps of leaves stuck underneath the gutters / asphalt tiles). He was also concerned about the cleaning chemicals that were sprayed on the roof that might “accidentally” clean other house surfaces and took steps to circumvent that from happening (you’d think that “accidentally” cleaning other areas would be desirable, but unfortunately it wouldn’t clean everything evenly and in the end, would make the cleaning project look cockeyed). Regarding the price, the amount he quoted was the price I paid (despite a slight increase in the scope of the project). I had gotten another quote from a different roof cleaning firm for double the price and found them very slimeball’ish with their aggressive sales tactics and avoiding answering simple questions. I would absolutely recommend Paul and Five Star Roof Cleaning to others!"

"I called Topline to get an estimate. They arrived when they said they would, and Tom was very patient in explaining to me what we would need done and the options he had. When we decided to go ahead with it, they sent employees who worked very hard and almost nonstop for a day and half. The price we paid was excellent for the services provided. They completely cleaned up after themselves and now we have a beautiful new roof (we even got to choose the tiles we wanted). Would highly recommend."

FAQs for heating cable for roof installation projects in Red Bank, NJ

A typical heat cable uses 5 watts per foot, regardless of the outside temperature. So, if your cable is 100 feet long, it uses 500 watts per hour. Expect to pay an additional $40 to $200 or more per month on your electricity bill. Be sure to turn manual cables off in the summer when you don't need them.

To install heat tape on your roof, place it along the lower edge in a precise zig-zag pattern to maximize coverage and heat distribution. Professional installers secure the tape with specialized clips that attach firmly to your shingles. This method ensures even heat distribution to effectively melt ice and snow while maintaining your roof's integrity during severe winter conditions.

Choosing between heated gutters and roof heating cables usually comes down to budget, appearance, and performance. Heated gutters cost less to install and blend seamlessly with your home’s exterior, making them a discreet, lower-cost option for preventing ice dams. Roof heating cables deliver more customizable and powerful heat along roof edges to handle heavy snow and ice, but they require more material and labor, increasing your upfront investment. Evaluate your roof design, winter weather demands, and energy budget to select the system that works best for your property.

Roof heating cables prevent ice dams by melting snow and stopping ice buildup at the roof edge. Ice damming occurs when melting snow refreezes on a cold roof—often right above the gutter line—and blocks water from draining, which can force moisture under shingles into your home. Heating cables maintain a warm channel that clears ice dams as soon as they form and protects your roof from water damage and structural issues.

Roof heating cables last between two and ten years before replacement is needed, wearing out faster than your roof itself. Their lifespan depends on climate severity, cable type, and exposure to physical damage. Consistent inspections and preventative maintenance—such as clearing debris, tightening clips, and checking electrical connections—can extend their service life and ensure reliable snow and ice protection each winter.

To safely remove snow from your roof, start with a specially designed roof rake, standing firmly on the ground and pulling snow downhill rather than climbing onto the roof. You can also apply calcium chloride ice melt to break up stubborn ice or gently use a secured rope from a safe vantage point.

Keep in mind that large snow slabs can weigh hundreds of pounds and pose a serious fall risk. If conditions are hazardous or you lack the right equipment, hire a professional to protect your safety and your roof’s integrity.
