"Ken Burns Electrical is out of Newtown. We did not know him originally when we hired him. My husband and I lived in Bethel and we hired him to do some electrical work and we have continued using him and I wouldn't use anybody else. Everything was done really nice and he put in heat cables on the roof because of the snow and damage that we had and they certainly do help out. He just did the electrical work on my porch and the building inspector was here and I asked him did he want me to turn the lights on and he said that he knew Kenny's work and I don't have to worry about him, he's a good electrician."

Both he and his colleague learned of the issues we faced and got right to work doing what they could to satisfy our need. Those switches/outlets/light fixtures that were in good shape from an electrical standpoint were left as is. Those that were in ill repair were repaired. Point made: This is an electrical contractor who exhibits a sense of integrity and doesn't gauge his customers. In addition, Dan provided recommended suggestions for the future. When he discovered he would be an hour late due to an unexpected customer emergency, he alerted us and kept us informed of his anticipated time of arrival. Final point: he is a good communicator, understands his customers well and is empathetic to their needs. It doesn't get much better than that. My vote: A+. Bravo for a job well done."

"I had the good fortune of meeting Gregg from Firefly Landscape Lighting several weeks ago. He is a teacher who loves spending time outdoors when not at school. I had Kicher outdoor lights installed last year. From the first day, I had issues with lights being lighter and darker than each other and others going out completely. Gregg met me at exactly 7am as promised so I could leave for work on time. He was able to tell me within several minutes what was wrong with the system and what he needed to do to get it working. Gregg seemed very honest and knowledgeable and gave me what seemed to be a fair price for the work that needed to be done. I agreed to have him fix the system that day. I left for work and he called me several hours later that the system was fixed and it was. I am only sorry that I did not know Gregg at the beginning of the project so that he could have helped with design, fixture selection and installation. I am sure it would have come out much better."
