"I had a great experience working with Alex Taylor LLC. They recently helped me install a new door, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. The team was professional, punctual, and very knowledgeable. They explained the steps clearly, worked efficiently, and made sure everything was aligned perfectly. What stood out to me the most was their attention to detail and respect for my home?they cleaned up afterwards and made sure I was happy with the result before leaving. The new door looks fantastic and works flawlessly. I highly recommend Alex Taylor to anyone needing quality installation and reliable service. I?ll definitely be calling them again for future projects."

"Overall the project went very well. We interviewed 5 different contractors and picked Vic because we liked his price, we liked the fact that he was going to do most of the work himself, and we felt that we could work with him. The project was supposed to be done in about a month, and ended up taking close to 2 months. Part of the delay was materials and the plumber, and a few days were lost because of surgery and a previously scheduled vacation, but ultimately we did get the bathroom and tub room we had hoped for. Although we were originally considering luxury vinyl, Vic did steer us toward tile. He did an excellent job of installing the tile on the floor and around the new tub, and it all looks beautiful. He also did several small things at the end of the project (such as replacing towel bars in another bathroom, installing a curtain rods and a shade, and replacing an electrical outlet) at no cost."

Small jobs welcome

"Eduardo and Isabel are amazing! Eduardo is incredibly professional and does really beautiful work. We love working with them. We initially hired them for flooring and baseboards on our 3rd floor. Eventually, we hired them to do all the flooring in our house, the baseboards, installation of our kitchen cabinets, our kitchen hardware, installation of new doors, a mantle, and installation of open shelving with installation of under cabinet lighting. Eduardo is one of our favorite trades to work with!"

"Byron did a Tesla Wall Connector (EV Charger), replacing my old charger with an Tesla unit, upgrading the breaker on my panel, installing conduit and wiring, installing and configuring my car charger. The whole process was excellent! I hired Bee N Tea a 2nd time about a month later to install another Tesla charger for my wife. Byron ran new conduit, installed a subpanel, installed and configured the new charger. The two chargers intelligently share the same 60A circuit. Iâ d highly recommend Bee N Tea for work you need done."

FAQs for baseboard installation projects in Renton, WA

Installing crown molding can be challenging, depending on the material and your skill level. Lightweight materials like polystyrene and softwoods are easier for homeowners to install themselves, offering a cost-saving option. However, heavier materials like hardwoods and plaster are difficult to work with and require professional installation to achieve a high-quality result. Precision is crucial in measuring, cutting, and fitting crown molding, so hiring a professional ensures the best outcome.

Crown molding is available at various price points, ranging from $1 to $30 per linear foot, depending on the material. This wide range offers options for every budget. Affordable materials like MDF, PVC, and polystyrene provide cost-effective solutions, while premium materials like exotic hardwoods or metal offer a luxurious appearance at a higher cost. Regardless of your budget, you can find crown molding that enhances your home's aesthetic.

Crown molding is installed by professional finish carpenters or painters who specialize in detailed trim work. These experts possess the necessary skills and tools to ensure precise measurements, accurate cuts, and seamless installation. By hiring a professional, you can achieve a flawless finish that enhances your home's aesthetic appeal without the risk of common DIY mistakes.

Crown molding can be installed in various areas of your house to add elegance and architectural interest. It is commonly used where walls meet the ceiling, but you can also place crown molding around doors, windows, mirrors, and atop cabinets. Installing crown molding in these locations enhances visual appeal, creates a cohesive design, and adds a touch of sophistication to your home's interior.

To determine how much crown molding to purchase, start by measuring the length of each wall where you plan to install crown molding and add the measurements together to determine the total linear feet required. Purchase an extra 10% of material to account for waste from cutting angles and to ensure seamless joints by using full-length pieces when possible. Including additional material helps avoid shortages and ensures a smooth installation process.

For a professional crown molding installer, this task takes about 1 to 3 hours per room, depending on size and complexity. Factors like the material, design intricacy, and number of corners can affect the time. If you're doing it yourself, expect it to take longer as you get the hang of measuring and cutting precise angles. Advanced measuring and planning or hiring a pro can help the project go smoothly.
