"We hired Maxima Concrete after getting 3 estimates, they were competitively priced, and we saw the patio and walkway project they did for my sister last year and that turned out great. Tom the estimator had great input on what we had in mind. Jacquie in the office was friendly and very helpful answering questions as needed. Tear out and form setup was on July 16th a Friday. There was an issue with the forms for the new siting area off the porch. I called on Saturday morning at 8 AM leaving a voice message with Jacquie and not really expecting a response till Monday morning. Within 3 hours Flavio, the owner, came out and he saw what I was talking about and promised a crew would be out early Monday to correct it. At 7:45 Monday morning the crew came out and corrected the issue to our complete satisfaction. The following day the concrete was poured as scheduled. The whole project turned out great and looks FANTASTIC, exceeding our expectations!! We have had numerous compliments by neighbors. Both crews; the tear out & form placement crew and the concrete pouring crew, showed up as scheduled, were professional, performed outstanding workmanship and left the work area clean upon work completion."

"Kelvin came out promptly after I contacted them to measure and provide an estimate. He was very accomodating on some special requests. Quoted price was very reasonable. He and his crew of about 8 arrived early on the agreed upon date which was less than two weeks from when I accepted estimate. I think they could have come sooner except that I requested delay while I had another project completed at the house. Crew seemed experienced and Kelvin was on site supervising throughout the project. They tore out 270 foot asphalt driveway, put in forms and poured the first segment on day one. They patiently re did the surface finishing four times when several unexpected rain showers passed through. Did 2nd stretch on day two and finished laying concrete on day three. Kelvin and one or two others returned day four to finish cutting the expansion joints and to seal the concrete and clean up. They also put in a small concrete trash can pad for us. C&D appears to take pride in their work. Kelvin communicated with us throughout. Project looks great."

"Hastings Concrete did an excellent job and I highly recommend them. My concrete driveway was 25 years old and needed to be replaced. The Hastings team came on a Wednesday to tear out the old driveway. On Thursday, they poured the new driveway and on Friday they cut the expansion joints. When we finalized the contract Josh gave us dates when they would be able to start the driveway as weather permitted. Josh kept to those dates and again explained how this was going to work and that the driveway would be completed in 2 days. Everything went as planned. "I needed to replace my front brick steps from Brick to Concrete. We have been running into loose bricks, pretty much after each winter, to the extent that I was concerned about safety of visitors (my brother-in-law fell on a loose brick). Chris and crew showed up on time (like 1 min early!). And they did a great job taking all the bricks out and pouring concrete instead to give us a peace of mind and a good looking concrete steps. Throughout the process, Chris explained to me what is going on in detail and answered all my questions. I probably asked him the same question a few times and he patiently answered my questions. Chris is a master mason with specialty in concrete. He knows what he is doing and does it well. He is humorous, generous and a gentleman. Chris (personally) spent a lot of time power washing other areas of my pavers even though that was not part of the deal. I offered to pay him for it but he refused and said "I just want the place to look gorgeous when I leave. I highly recommend Chris and his team for any concrete / cement work."

"We had one of the best experiences we've ever had with a contractor with Dan Few and his company. Our hollow concrete front porch had sunk near the house's foundation and we were having to take a giant step up to our front door. We had two other estimates, one with a company that concluded it couldn't be raised up by their standard of best practice, and one that was going to cost more than we wanted to pay for just raising up a not very attractive porch. We contacted Dan Few and he came over to talk it over with us. He is very knowledgeable, with years of experience and a great crew. We waited a few weeks while they finished up other projects and then they got started on June 1st or 2nd (can't remember). We wanted to "do it right" and Dan knew how to make the new porch so it would hold up over years, with a foundation and concrete block base. I wanted a "reveal" like I'd seen on other porches, and it all turned out great. I wanted a longer curved sidewalk from the porch to the driveway, and the end product looked exactly like I would have chosen to design it. The original sidewalk ended close to the garage doors, but this one has a wide edge that will actually be practical when we step out of our cars and looks beautiful. We also chose to replace our asphalt driveway (over 30 years old) with a concrete one. Dan pointed out that our house foundation needed more dirt surrouonding it to protect it, and moved dirt from the excavation of the porch to the front, side and part of the back of our foundation, arranging and smoothing it into position. They were great about cleaning up the construction area after completing the work on June 4, and came back in about 10 days to reset the post that supports the porch roof. They even offered to reset the decorative trim for us. Dan gave us direction on how to care for the concrete and will provide sealant and power washing for it soon. It looks great, and we are very satisfied and relieved to have our problem porch replaced with such a beautiful one. I wish we had more concrete projects we could do with this company, we had such a good experience. Dan and his crew had excellent communication, patience with questions and explanations and were very friendly. Dan was great about responding to our questions via text or phone, responding in a day or two at the most. They came when they said they would, completed the work in a timely fashion and returned to finish details when they said they would. One of the best experiences we've ever had with a contractor. They were friendly, knowledgeable, had good advice, were patient with questions, committed to doing it right and letting the homeowner know how it should be done. They've been in the field for a long time and take pride in the finished product. We recommend them highly and appreciate our good fortune in having them do the work for us."
