"Affordable Remodeling and Repairs did a good job on fixing my fence and garage. They did a satisfactory job on the vinyl siding. The color of the siding did not quite match and the material was different. The big problem for me with this service provider was the lack of communication and customer service. At the time of the estimate, Craig requested that I pay by check for half down. I felt a little bit uneasy, because you have a little bit of protection when paying with a credit card, but you have none with a check. Craig told me that he would arrive to do the job on that Friday. I called on Thursday, after I noticed he cashed my check and requested that he break down the bill so that I might use it on my insurance. I left a message and never heard back from him that day. On Friday he never showed up and he never called to let me know. I actually had to find him at his place of business, which is his home address and I was lucky that he happened to be there! He told me not to worry that he would be there the next day at 10 am. At 11 am the next day, I called him and he said he wasn't going to be there until Sunday. I was thankful that everything got fixed and we didn't have a problem with his work, but this whole experience left me uneasy. I wasn't sure if he was going to take my money and run! There is something to be said for good communication and good customer service, this is the reason that I would not use this person in the future."
