"I messaged Sean McCourt on Friday and arranged a next day service call. Sean called about a half hour before arriving and showed up when promised. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and polite. He inspected my 20+ year old heater and found no problems. I was originally told by another company that the thermostat may need replacing because it did not appear to be sending a shut off signal to the heater. Sean tested the unit several times and found that the heater and the thermostat were both working as designed and there was no need to replace anything. He instructed me on the proper size filters for the heater, and gave me a ballpark quote for replacing and upgrading the unit to include an AC in the future. When that time comes, I will most definitely be calling TLC to do the work. I was originally quoted a figure of $85 for the inspection, but since the unit was clean and functioning correctly, Sean reduced the price of the call to $60. "Cody, the owner of GL Plumbing & Mechanical, first came to my house in response to a water heater emergency, which he handled quickly, expertly and professionally. I was immensely impressed not only with the quality of his work but also with his work ethic, honesty,  politeness and kindness. I asked lots of questions and he answered all of them thoroughly and with just the right vocabulary and detail. For all of these reasons, when he came to reinstall the water heater on the platform (he had had to temporarily install it on the garage floor while we waited for the platform/drywall/cabinet to dry out and be repaired), I made an appointment for him to come and take care of a number of other more minor issues which had recently arisen. He gave me a two hour window of time in which he would be here and called me about a half an hour before his arrival to let me know he was on his way. Once he and his helper arrived, they both worked hard to finish in a timely manner. Again, I was full of questions, not only about the work they were doing, but also about replacement bathroom fixtures that I was considering buying. He answered all those questions patiently, advised me on what to avoid, and gave me good recommendations about what to keep in mind. I found all of my interactions with Cody to be pleasant and the cost of service to be fair. <br /> Cody shared with me a bit about how and why he got into plumbing and told me outright that he loved being a plumber: it isn't just a job to him; it is something he loves to do. "I had water leaking from my house onto the front porch, Kelly came out and discovered that my water lines were leaking. We set up a date and time to start the repiping, and everything went very well. Used new Pex piping underneath the house and into walls to supply each fixture, installed new shut off valves and stainless steel water supply lines to all sinks,toilets, washing machine and water heater, connect onto existing shower valves in wall, and patch all holes to a rough finish. Kelly is professional and friendly, came on time and cleaned up every day before leaving, taking all trash and old pipes with them. I will definitely hire him again for any future repairs, he was a pleasure to work with!"
