"I-Deal HVAC was the installation contractor provided by Lowes when I purchased a new hot water heater. Kenneth, my installer, did a superb, professional install, and fully explained the operation of the new hot water heater. Despite the fact that Lowes Delivery couldn't get their act together as far as my request that the installer pick up the hot water heater, Kenneth was flexible and understanding, and arrived on schedule to perform the install. I would highly recommend I-Deal HVAC--if the rest of their staff is as good as Kenneth, they are the contractor of choice for prompt, professional service. Many thanks, Kenneth!"

"The first cleaning and concreting, and preparation of either the sheet metal plenums or the round sonotube ducts went reasonably well. The follow-on work of spraying the plastic type material, the encapsulating material in the duct also sent fairly well, with 10 of the sonotube ducts being quite clean of dirt or debris, and accepted the restoration work of creating a consistent tube to conduct the air. The #3 duct in the house had an area of approximately 10 feet of original ductwork that was significantly more difficult to clean and re-line. For the following two years, the ductwork system in the house worked to distribute the air throughout the house. The original work was done in June 2015. NOW, in June 2017, while in the midst of a home inspection for the buyer of my house, the Duct #3 was found to be in need of additional work to create a proper clean, round, smooth duct. Air Duct Medic, LLC, Marvin Hamilton, responded to my calls for help to remedy this situation. His crew's came out to my house within one week of my call, to clean the duct, and re-spray the encapsulating material into the duct. While the quantity of sand that entered the ductwork tube was minor, it looked bad and was called out by the inspector. SO, two years after the original work on my ductwork, Marvin Hamilton kept his word that he would repair the areas that might have appeared to need attention. Marvin stated in 2015 that he would stand behind his work and make it good were it needed in the future. AND, after interviewing at least 4 of the duct restoration contractors in Albuquerque, and choosing Air Duct Medic, Marvin Hamilton, they not only did the original work as described and promised, AND without niggling requests for extra payment for Change Orders, their Crews returned to "touch-up" the original contract work. In my interview process, Marvin was fully straightforward about his work, his pricing, and what he would do to guarantee his work. AND, Marvin was the only one of the four contractors that did not offer disparaging remarks about the other contractors quoting this work. My experience was what I expected of a contractor doing work on my house: that is, to price it fairly, and do the work for that price, and assure me that the work would be corrected if it needed additional work. Marvin Hamilton did what he said he would, that is, to repair my ductwork and stand behind his work in the future. Each of the contractors I talked to had varying reviews from the Realtors, the folks that were in the position of dealing with this repair issue on re-sale homes. Marvin Hamilton, Air Duct Medic, LLC was the contractor I chose, and he performed the work and stood behind a "warranty call" 2 years later. The performed a virtually flawless job for me. I certainly would use them again!"

"Excellent service, reasonably priced. Two rooms with beige carpets that were badly stained were cleaned so that the carpets almost looked new! They were also able to give me great information on three oriental rugs I own! Knowledgeable and great expertise aptly describe this service!"

FAQs for air ducts & vents cleaning service projects in Rio Rancho, NM

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that air duct cleaning is not required unless visible issues such as mold buildup, rodent droppings, or excessive dust are present. When such conditions exist, cleaning becomes essential to protect indoor air quality and maintain HVAC efficiency. This approach minimizes potential health risks and extends the system’s life.

Air ducts must be cleaned every three to five years as required by NADCA to preserve system efficiency and indoor air quality. The EPA insists that cleaning is necessary only when significant issues such as mold, pest infestations, or heavy dust accumulation are evident. Annual inspections by a certified professional promptly address any emerging concerns.

The ideal seasons for air duct cleaning are spring and fall. Cleaning during these periods prepares your HVAC system for the demands of both winter heating and summer cooling. These seasons provide moderate weather conditions that enable efficient service completion while minimizing disruption, ensuring your system performs at its peak.

Professional air duct cleaning takes a fixed duration of two to five hours, depending on the home’s size and the complexity of the duct system. Smaller residences with standard ductwork complete the service in two hours, while larger homes with extensive ducts require up to five hours. Additional repairs may extend this duration.

To prepare for professional air duct cleaning, ensure all vents are unobstructed by moving nearby furniture and clearing pathways. Secure any pets in a safe area and confirm that your HVAC system units are easily accessible for technician inspection. Proper preparation contributes to a higher quality service outcome and prevents delays, allowing the cleaning process to proceed efficiently.
