"Israel and Roberto did the ground excavation and leveling for our pool installation. They came the same day I called and finished the job the same day. They went above and beyond what we asked of them. They did a great job and gave us a great deal. I will definitely call them again if the need arises."

"I couldn’t be happier with the patio and sidewalk that the Maven Group installed at my home. It has a stamped concrete finish. They were very professional and helpful in guiding me through the decisions with the project. The patio and sidewalk look great and they left things in great shape when they left - pressure washed and repaired any tracks from the equipment (seeded and strawed). As an added bonus- my point-of-contact initially as well as the crew performing the work were all very nice and helpful. For reference: I should say that they actually removed and replaced a patio and sidewalk that another company did an unbelievably poor job on (and on that note: I would NOT recommend Austin Stamp Crete, Color Scapes, Inc., or Grant Parker DBA as either). So having such a bad experience with the first installation by another company, I was overly cautious with this one and had LOTS of questions. Everyone at Maven was very patient with all my questions. I recieved a recommendation for the Maven Group from a friend and would also recommend them to anyone else needing concrete work so am writing this review. I just wish I had found them sooner!"

"Concrete crew was amazing! When contacted they came by to check out job the same day.. received the quote that evening and had boots on the ground the next day. The team was honest and they actually helped me save money letting me know extra work wasn’t necessary. Crew was prompt with start time and cleaned up area. Highly recommend! "I interviewed four companies to understand who had the most experience. It was clear that Raisecrete has the most slab and foundation experience of the four companies. Their price was in line with the other three, but I was most interested in their experience. They communicated constantly prior to doing the job to make sure we had everything lined up. They were punctual and took the time to explain the process and discuss the best method of repairs. The outcome was exactly as they said it would be and I feel I have a permanent fix to the crack in my slab. He has a large crew that all worked hard the entire time. In addition, they checked out my entire foundation to make sure everything checked out. I highly recommend them and would use them again."

"Irrigation lines installed to redirect water from gutters. He also installed drainage away from our gas tank that we were not aware of, but needed to be done due to standing water. Austin was very helpful and I would recommend to anyone that needs these services."

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Rising Fawn, GA

Whether terrazzo is better than porcelain or ceramic tiles for a kitchen or bathroom floor depends on your design preference. Terrazzo can last a long time, but so can a properly installed ceramic tile floor. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the lifespan of a ceramic tile floor is 75 to 100 years, similar to terrazzo.

You should clean terrazzo floors like you would marble, even if there’s no marble in the aggregate. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the polished surface, and steer clear of acidic cleaners like vinegar, which can damage the surface. Instead, use plain water or a neutral cleaner to mop the floor. Then, use a wet vac or squeegee to remove the dirty water. Regular buffing with a soft cloth can help you maintain the shine.

Terrazzo is made by mixing an aggregate like glass or stone with a binder like cement or epoxy. The mix is made and poured into the prepared space you designate. Alternatively, you can purchase prefabricated terrazzo tiles, which consist of similar materials. They’re poured into a mold and cured before installation.

You can add radiant heating under a terrazzo floor, which is an excellent way to combat the naturally cold surface of terrazzo floors. Installing radiant heating costs $1,653 to $6,656. You'll want to install the heating elements under the thin-set epoxy because the layer is thin enough for the warmth to conduct through the floor.

Making your own terrazzo can be a tricky DIY project. The exact mix takes a blend of art and skill to create and requires the expertise of a terrazzo pro. The wrong blend could crack, peel, or break easily, requiring expensive repairs. Finishing and polishing the floor also requires previous experience to achieve a professional appearance. Expect to pay between $200 and $2,500 for the cost of restoring and polishing floors.

Terrazzo flooring is eco-friendly because it is crafted using recycled materials such as glass, marble, and polished metal, and its epoxy binder emits no VOCs once cured. This sustainable manufacturing approach minimizes waste and supports green building practices. Homeowners gain an attractive flooring option, contributing to healthier indoor air quality and environmental conservation.
