"Our condo building was having roof leaks and Steve Case came out in Dec 2017 and gave us an estimate for a silcone roof. I was also getting quotes from 2 other companies. Due to the extremely cold weather and personal (on my part) scheduling conflicts, SPU did the work in mid-May. The guys (especially Greg) were very professional and punctual. "I contacted Nombach Roofing after being referred by a friend who had used the company and was pleased with the services provided.I had contacted several other roofing companies for estimates prior to contacting Nombach.Cliff came to my house to give me a estimate along with several options.I decided to go with Nombach for my roofing project and was subsequently contacted by Tony to set up a date and time.The agreed upon date came and the crew arrived at my house on time and got right to work.The crew completed the work and cleaned the area properly before leaving.I recontacted Tony a few weeks after the project was completed and informed him that i wished to go up on the roof to inspect the work.Tony told me no problem and set up a date and time to come out and take me on the roof to inspect the work.I have been very pleased with the work performed by Nombach and would hire them again and refer them to others.I found Nombach's prices to be competitive and the customer service to be GREAT!!!"

"Only time will tell whether the work permanently fixes the cold air problem that caused my burst pipes, but as of today (the day GMS completed the work) I'm thrilled with GMS's responsiveness, professionalism, and work quality.  Pipes in my basement that routinely froze in cold weather due to poor insulation finally gave way and burst last week.  Plumbers had to come out in the middle of the night to replace the pipes, and in doing so they had to cut into the drywall and ceiling in my basement.  So now I had a basement wall and ceiling with large holes in them, and a wet wall just waiting to grow mold.

GMS was actually the second place I called - the first place told me they were booked and wouldn't be able to come out until the end of February.  That obviously was not an option.  Based on the good reviews, I then tried GMS.  Greg, the owner, was great.  He agreed to come out THE NEXT MORNING at 8:00 a.m. to give me an estimate.  He was right on time and was very professional and honest with the scope of work that needed to be done.  He had some great insight into how to do the insulation differently so that the cold air problem would be solved.  All in all, I was left with the impression that he was the right guy for the job.

He got me a written estimate later that morning, and agreed to start work THAT AFTERNOON.

The whole project took 3 days - first day they knocked down the wet wall and removed all the insulation.  The sealed off the area with plastic and blasted a dehumidifier all night.  Day 2 they insulated and did most of the work installing the new wall.  Day 3 they finished off the wall and left the entire area immaculately clean. 

I wasn't home during the actual work, but Greg provided me daily updates as to progress and always answered my calls and emails.

The wall looks better than ever; and there is now a vent built in to help warm air circulate into the space, and the pipes and the whole space behind the wall are well insulated.  As I said at the top, only time will tell whether this permanently solves the frozen pipe problem.

Bottom line is that Greg was extremely responsive and did high quality work at a reasonable price.  I still can't get over that he was able to start the work the day after I first called him.

"Carrington Roofing did my tear-off and replace roof 10 years ago. Although I have not been on the roof, I thought they did a great job, fast, efficient, and good price, so I wanted to consider them for this contract. :-)
I contacted three top-rated vendors from Angie's List.  One didn't respond at all, and two responded quickly.  I got a quote from Tristan Carrington and the one other vendor.
The other vendor's email estimate was very nicely put together, very polished, super quick.  Carrington's estimate took a couple days longer and was basic - plain text and delivered by email as well. 
However the big difference, was that CARRINGTON WAS ABOUT HALF THE COST of the other estimate.  I compared the materials and work to be performed and found them roughly equal but for very different prices.
Communication was great - email and phone I got great customer service from Tristan every step along the way from quote to completion.  Any little question or problem was addressed easily.  He asked us to do walkarounds during and after so we knew what was going on.  The guys that did the job were very nice, worked around the changing weather, and did excellent clean up.
It's hard to know sometimes what to pay for these things, so all you can do is shop around and talk to other homeowners to come up with comparables for similar work.  Clearly I could have paid more but maybe I could have gotten it done for less?
But we are happy with the work done, and feel confident recommending Carrington Roofing.
