"Our initial contact with Sierra Pacific Design  was Jamie Schevers. Jamie came to our home, examined our existing pond and offered some ideas for improvement . We agreed on pond size of roughly 8 feet by 10 feet with a short stream and a couple of small waterfalls. The exact shape and size would be determined during excavation and design.  We scheduled the work to begin on Thursday (1 week later) and it was to be completed in two days, which it was.  Jamie arrived Thursday morning with a crew of 3 additional workers. He had the pond liner, pump and all supplies with him and the rocks were delivered that same day. The rough shape of the pond was excavated and the old pond liner was removed. Jamie carefully moved my koi to a temporary pond liner until completion of  the work. I was impressed with all the things that his team did automatically without any prompting from me. After the excavation was completed, the skimmer was positioned and leveled as well as the upper Biofalls filter. The entire pond was lined with an underlayment and a professional grade flexible pond liner. Large rocks were positioned around the inner walls of the pond and two small waterfalls were designed midstream between the Biofalls filter and the lower pond.  Large  rocks were positioned first with smaller rocks filled in for stability. They created a deep cave for my fish to hide in and seek protection from predators (birds and raccoons). Underwater lights (LEDs) were also positioned. An automatic fill valve was installed in the skimmer that was plumbed into my existing water supply to insure the water level is constant. <br /> After the pond was filled and everything was confirmed to be functioning properly, they used more rocks to build up a raised planter bed around the waterfall and planted a variety of plants all around. A few plants were even anchored in small nooks in the pond (as of this writing, 3 months have gone by and they are doing great). Additional low voltage lights were positioned throughout the area to highlight different parts of the pond, including waterfalls and plants.  It all looks great.The entire team was considerate and respectful. They cleaned up at the end of each day and were careful not to trample any of our existing plants or landscape. Even the truck driver who dumped the rocks on our driveway was careful not to drive over the corner of grass at the end of our driveway. I am very pleased with the quality of work Sierra Pacific Design provided and the professionalism exhibited by the entire crew. Jamie was always available, either in person or by phone. "With our first call, we were able to obtain an appointment to have someone give us an estimate to redo our front yard. Henry arrived right on time as promised. We discussed what we envisioned--adding stone to a column and a section of the front of the house, construct some steps leading down to sidewalk, construct new walkways, low maintenance plants with low water usage and lots of color. Henry asked us some questions and then got out a yellow tablet and drew a sketch. It was exactly our vision. He later sent us a computerized draft of the project. He also took the time to meet us at a nursery where he showed us plants that worked with our requirements and asked us to show him the ones we liked. The work started sooner than we expected. The CCL crews are all very polite and extremely hard working. They have a great work ethic. All our neighbors commented on this. They cleaned up after everyday's work and stacked their equipment and supplies out of our way every evening. The work took a month to complete. Henry came by most days to see how the work was progressing and to see if we had any concerns or questions. It was a very easy process. Henry was very patient with me since there were lots of decisions to be made; and I was unsure how to proceed. He steered me towards the right decisions, bringing multiple samples of everything--pavers, stone, etc.--so I could feel confident in my choices. We absolutely love the end result. Henry is very personable and easy to work with. He actually provided us with larger versions of a couple of trees we purchased and also gave us a couple of spotlights for free. His guys also installed our mailbox post, even though it was not in the contract. I would not hesitate one minute in using CCL again or referring them to friends and family. "After we had to change the initial appointment date, Tim arrived promptly at the agreed upon time in the morning. After inspecting our pond, stream, skimmer, pumps, and waterfalls thoroughly, we agreed on a price (in this case between $350 and $400) and Tim got to work. He worked quickly and knowledgably, paying attention to the well-being of our Koi fish as well. He "revived" the pump that had stopped working, cleaned the skimmer, filters and stream. Rearranged the stones along the stream and inside the pond and pumped out a lot of mud. He also explained to us why we were having an algae and mud problem with the pond. He told us what to pay attention to when servicing the pond ourselves on a regular basis. In addition, he was even able to replace a bad electrical GFI plug for us and installed a weather-proof cover for the outlet as well. Overall, this was a very good experience for us. Tim was knowledgable, friendly, reliable and had a good price. He also followed-up with a phone call the next day. We can only recommend his services."

"Larry came out and spent about 30-45 minutes at my house (very close to his house) and talked me through the project.  He was polite, helpful and patient.  He knew the scope of the project before coming out to my house as his wife and I had emailed each other and I'd given her the dimensions of the project.  After writing down the information, he had me write my email address on his form as he wanted to make sure he had it correctly so he could get back to me.  He never did.  I tried contacting him after several days and never heard a thing.  The contractor that eventually came out and performed the job said that Larry had a great reputation for the work he did on pools and hardscape but I wouldn't know from my experience. <br />"
