"Tom was doing work down the street when I first introduced myself to him. He was doing stucco repair work, waterproofing, and painting. Everyone in the neighborhood was talking about what a great job he was doing, and the homeowner was raving about him as well. We have a 30-year-old 4-sided stucco house and were 1) concerned about potential water damage and 2) in need of minor repairs and touch-ups. We spent a tremendous amount of time with Tom, explaining everything, making recommendations and suggestions, listening to our ideas as well as concerns, etc. It was obvious that he knew his stuff. "We contacted Cowan's during the busy season, he responded by text only. We explained what we needed. It took about 2 weeks of texting and trying to getting responses to final set a time for him to come out. One of his workers came and did the cleaning. He did not cover anything around the stove, he left hand and foot (soot) prints everywhere he touched and walked. He left my fromt door open the whole time he was here (35* degrees outside) He did a partial job of cleaning up after himself. When I mentioned to him about the marks he left, all he could say was I don't have rags to clean. I spoke to Mr. Cowen about how unhappy I was with the way things were left and he said he would talk his worker and just use soap and water to clean everything. I should not have to clean up after Cowan's job. When I offer to pay him he told me to keep my money and Goodbye."
