Customers say: Quality work

"Capelle Electric installed 3 ceiling fans/light fixtures for us. They are easy to work with, answered all questions we had, and finished the job in a timely manner. They cleaned up after themselves so I didnâ t have to. Keith Capelle and his partner were professional in every way. I would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to others."

"BEWARE of Hero s up sales and price-gouging tactics. During routine furnace and AC tuneups they ALWAYS recommend additional purchase/service. 2 years ago they bid $299 to install Hard Start kit on my AC ($15 part); I researched the need and declined. This year the bid for Hard Start kit was $108. Although my AC doesn t show a voltage drop or cause lights to flicker, and there s no empirical proof these kits extend life of compressor, I accepted install based on the theory. When I called to accept the bid, I asked about any additional charge, eg service call, and was assured $108 was total cost. Upon arrival, the technician said there was an additional $20 truck fee , which he retracted when I relayed my conversation at the time I made the appointment. Note: this is a straightforward install and took less than 10 min (how justify original $299 bid??). Another example, Hero found a gas leak during furnace tuneup and bid $2326 repair; I hired another plumber who charged $225."

"We had a massive leak in the shower of the guest bathroom. Since plumbing was one of the systems covered by our warranty with choice, I went on-line and filed a claim. I git an immediate response assigning me a claim number for reference and later that day received an appointment notice....GREAT customer service. The plumber arrived, at the time specified, and was immediately able to pin point the problem. (a defective shower cartridge) I have used Choice Home Warranty multiple times as my home ages and they pay for the replacement parts if needed. My "deductible" is a $45 fixed rate for the service call, no matter how long, or complicated the repair is. I absolutely am delighted with the customer service, fast response, low cost of a service visit, and NO surprises, or "fine print" excuses regarding coverage. They provide a list, in writing, of what is covered and what is not and do not deviate so I make sure my problem is on the list before filing a claim."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"They did an excellent job installing a new 240V outlet in my garage! We were able to easily schedule an appointment. They arrived to my house on time. As they were working they were extremely friendly and communicated proficiently. Once the project was finished everything looked great and the outlet works just fine. I would highly recommend for anyone needing a local electrician."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Rochester, MN

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
