"This project went great the owner and his crew did a fantastic job in painting and cleaning up the house. They did such a great job that I’ve already started talking to some friends I know that may need his services sometime early part of next year. I would hire this company to do all future painting in my home."

"Mitchell came by looked over my painting project and gave a quote about 10 minutes later. Painting my eves, siding, trim, doors and foundation. Interior work to repair cracks in ceiling in 4 rooms and painting ceilings. House square footage of 1100 sq.ft. Cost was $4,264 and then with the Angi discount of 20%, final cost was $3,411. The Advance crew showed up Wednesday morning and was done Friday morning. Very neat and professional 3 man crew."

"This is the second time I've hired them. First, Luis came and assessed the work needed, recommended types of paint, and gave his estimate, which I accepted. The crew arrived at 7:30 and began blocking off walls, rugs, and outdoor furniture. They worked quickly, quietly, and professionally and finished in two days. No paint or stain got where it wasn't supposed to and they made sure to put everything back where it was when they finished. It was an excellent experience and I'll work with them for future jobs."

"Great experience! Ernesto is an outstanding painter. His prep work is excellent, ensuring that the finished surfaces are without flaws. He does a thorough cleanup at the end of each day. Also, he answers his phone and he returns calls in a timely manner when necessary. He has done 3 major interior painting projects for me in the past 18 months and I am in the cue for another project. I highly recommend Ernesto and his company."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Rock Hill, SC

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
