The bids we got from folks ranged widely, but only Ion seemed to understand what it would take and came in with a more than reasonable bid. This was no small project and took over two weeks to complete, and every step of the way Ion and his one-person crew were on the job promptly each morning and took care to consult us on every issue that came up. He also took the time to make certain we could deal with various daily tasks and even a major crisis (our water heater tank broke, flooding the basement in week two -- meaning they had to deal with heavy traffic in and around their working area at times). Despite the tumult, the progressed nicely throughout.... The restoration itself looks wonderful and enhanced the look (and certainly the value) of the property. Replaced front steps, removing old limestone caps, installed granite caps, mosaic of natural stones, and brick veneer to steps. Removed damaged concrete walkway and replaced with mosaic of natural stones lined with granite. Added new railings to bottom steps. Replaced limestone caps on retaining wall with granite caps and re-stuccoed wall. Repaired chimney. We have a beautiful front entry now that is safer and up to code and has received many positive comments. Would definitely hire again."
