"Hiring Vertex's Hardwood Floors to redo the horribly stained maple floors throughout our newly purchased home was absolutely the best decision we made! Cindy and Duoc were both terrific. We had hired, or tried to hire, several other contractors to work on our house, and each and every one disappointed us. One never returned our calls. Two were recommended by friends or relatives, but both were completely incompetent. We were about to give up completely when we found Vertex's. We solicited three bids on our job, which entailed completely refinishing the floors in our living room, dining room, and two bedrooms. The floors were so badly stained that the other contractors wouldn't even guarantee their work. Vertex's Hardwood Floors not only guaranteed their work, they beat the other bids by $1000 and $2000, respectively. The results were, in a word, spectacular!!! The floors are absolutely gorgeous. Also, we had a tight timeframe during which to complete the project before we moved in. Duoc accommodated us on that as well. We hired them on a Friday, and they began work on the following Monday. "Back in March my husband and I met with Dustin to discuss changing the stain on the first floor of our house. Our floors were in great shape and with our house only being about 7 years old, he flat out was honest and told us that we were basically crazy to change anything. Despite this and the fact that my husband told him that we weren't doing the project, he went through the whole proposal and never seemed rushed. After months of complaining about the color, I think my husband finally got sick of hearing it from me and agreed to do the floors. I called Dustin and he was able to get us in on my desired dates. He was so honest and transparent about the entire process. His communication was great and he was very responsive to all my questions no matter what time of day it was. He spent a great deal of time selecting the stain color and putting samples in various rooms under different kinds of lights. I am such a visual person so this really was helpful for me. His crew was so awesome and they were so careful with all of our white trim. The dust was minimal and they taped up our kitchen to protect it very well. When we walked in once the job was complete, besides the smell of the stain and of course the new color, you never would have known that major work had gone on. The house was clean and the crew had left no trash or anything behind. Dustin came back to inspect everything and made sure that we were totally satisfied. We couldn't be happier with everything and even though it was a challenging week trying to juggle work, sick kids and everything else while living with our in-laws 50 miles away, it was so worth it and we would highly recommend them to anyone!!!!"

"We just bought a new house and ripped up all the carpet in the downstairs.  We found that under some of the carpet there was already hardwood flooring, but it was not in good condition.  We wanted to compare prices for putting all new hardwood vs just sanding and refinishing what was there, and only installing new wood where it was absolutely necessary.  Bill told us that the wood in part of the house was a good quality wood, and he said he had a few pieces of it that he could use to patch the unrepairable areas, and then he could sand and refinish it all.  We also had him install new hardwood in two of the rooms.  We had been a little nervous about the patching, as we got a few estimates, and everyone who came in told us that a different type of wood was needed.  We are VERY pleased with the way the floors look.  The areas that were patched look perfect, and the wood that we thought was "not in good condition" looks as good as new.  The new hardwood that they installed is absolutely beautiful."
