"This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. "We hired Ronnie Mitchell and Sons to rebuild/replace a failed rock retaining wall at a lake house we purchased, in addition to performing excavation and grading work to manage the erosion from up the hill behind the wall. Ronnie was always prompt and professional throughout the process. He took the time to walk the property and understand our overall objectives, not only for this project, but our longer term goals. In the end, we wanted to keep the perception of a rock wall consistent with other rock walls on the property, as opposed to a segmental wall. The process consisted of completely tearing out the old wall (~90 feet long, 6 feet tall with curves and slopes), replacing the footer, pouring a new concrete wall and finishing with a stone veneer. While concrete work is not their specialty, Ronnie was very supportive of the aesthetic we wanted to achieve and has outstanding partners in the area that are also extremely professional. Together, they designed and installed a new retaining wall that looks absolutely fabulous. After the wall was built, Ronnie and their team were very good at regrading the work area, along with grass seed and straw. They also performed the excavation work up the hill behind the retaining wall to manage future erosion issues and as a bonus, they pulled out a number of old shrubs and steel posts with concrete footings that were an eyesore. Thanks to Ronnie and the team everything is starting to come together beautifully. We loved the stone so much we are having the same stone put up on the carport foundation you see in the attached pictures. Overall, we were very impressed with the professionalism and quality of work they performed and would not hesitate to hire them in the future ourselves, as well as recommend them to others."

"David and his son-in-law were always punctual, professional and a delight to have around our house for the 3-month project. Their attention to detail was truly phenomenal. Each rock was selected and carved to fit a particular spot and angle. Following the initial driveway and house entry steps, we had David come back 2 years later to build a side yard patio with fire pit and a connecting walkway from the driveway. He and his two younger tradesmen showed up everyday at 730 despite driving 50-60 miles away. He's currently doing work on my house in the Grandin Court area to include heated floors, bathroom renovations, carpentry, and roofing. He's been in business for 30 years and has all the equipment and trucks for most any job."

"The crew that was onsite during the renovation was great as well. They always kept the site clean and was respectful when asked questions about the process. They were also very knowledgeable about construction and codes to make the house very sound. The house is around eighty years old and with the work they have done I can see it being around another eighty or more. The office staff was always willing to help with any questions or concerns we had and would promptly respond if they could not answer right then. Working with Dollman Construction was one of the best choices we made. People do not even recognize the house now that it is complete they did such a great job."
