"A year ago, I had estimates for this project and was unable to complete the project due to personal reasons.   I was on Angie's List in the Spring looking for something else and decided to re-visit this project.  The contractor I was going to use had several reviews stating how expensive the estimates were.  I saw some positive reviews for Carrero & Sons and gave them a call.  They promptly returned my call and were out to give me an estimate a few days later.  Mike, Jr. asked if I was looking for stamped concrete but based on my prior estimates stamped was not in the budget.  Mike explained that stamped is their specialty and they had all the templates and could be very competitive in this area.  In the end, I paid over $1800 less than my estimates from last year for a mix of stamped and white concrete. 

Rain in the spring led to the job being delayed but I received proactive calls to keep me informed as to where I was on the schedule.  This is one of the few times I have had someone call me before I called them!  Once we got started, again weather was a factor, but the communication was great and I always knew what to expect.  The finsihed results are wider, safer stamped steps and walkways, a new walkway to my houes, the replacement of a broken concrete walkway that now connects to a patio in the backyard.  All of this work was stamped.  They also replaced the driveway with white concrete.  Everything looks great.  They recycled some flagstones that were sunken and created a path for me and even cam back and replaced the wooden steps onto my patio that had seen better days.  I have gotten so many compliments, even envy from my neighbor who right before my project started replaced his driveway and was not thrilled with the finished result.  My drveiway is now proerply graded with water flowing away from the house and everything else looks lovely.  I highly recommend this company, a really nice family business that really cares about satisfying customers and doing quality work.  I would absolutely reommend Carrero & Sons and would use them again."

"My husband and I had been planning a complete kitchen remodel for years.  Our previous kitchen was typical "builder quality." It wasn't horrible, but we were definitely ready for a new design.  We contacted a few kitchen remodeling companies, but it was the consultant from Fix it All that really seemed to understand what we were looking for, and honestly they seemed to be the most professional.  We first started with the basic planning. This was probably the most time consuming part of the process because it seemed like my husband and I couldn't agree on anything!  After much debate, we finally decided on our new kitchen design/cabinets/appliances/etc.  
From the time the craftsman started demolishing our old kitchen, I knew I would be pleased with the project.  Right away, I noticed everyone was very clean with their work and they did an excellent job of keeping the project contained to the kitchen only.  I was so happy to see the old cabinets and flooring removed.
As the job progressed after the demolition, the first major step was installing our new ceramic tile floor.  The craftsman recommended angling the tiles in a diamond pattern, and although it was more work for them, it was definitely a good design decision.  Once the cabinets were installed, I could really see the final design start to come to life.   At the suggestion of the consultant, we decided to change our 2-tier breakfast bar, into a single level breakfast bar.  I'm glad we did, because the breakfast bar has so much more space now.  The white granite counter tops and tile black splash really make our kitchen look like it is straight out of a magazine!
My husband is much more observant than I am when it comes to craftsmanship.  It seemed like everyday he would go over the work from the previous day, and he was always pleased.  We are both so impressed with the finished product of our kitchen.  I honestly would love dealing with Fix it All again. Every part of the process was handled professionally and efficiently.  There were absolutely no set backs throughout the whole process (except when I changed the handles for the cabinets!) and the initial estimate was very close to what the total project wound up costing at completion.  If you are looking for a professional company that provides high quality work and individual attention to the client, than I would highly suggest checking out Fix it All."
