"My first time using Angie's List proved to be well worth it! I saw a deal for replacement windows through American Jewel Window Systems for a pretty good price, 5 windows for $1499. I ordered them and met with Chuck who came to my home to take the initial measurements. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable! He showed me the options and gave me the estimate. The deal did not include the screens, which cost at an additional $10 each. The following week, the installer came by to take more measurements. Two weeks later, the company called me for an install date. 
The two installers came and were absolutely perfect. They brought in all the supplies, removed the old windows, took caution and placed cloth tarp, installed the new windows, sealed them properly, and cleaned up after themselves. I was amazed at how fast and quietly they worked. What a difference in warmth replacing a few windows can do. The rooms where the windows were replaced were always very cold. Chuck had told me I would see a huge difference when getting rid of my old aluminum ones for brand new vinyl ones. We were so pleased with the initial 5 windows, that we contacted them again and replaced an additional 11 windows in our home. 
I am extremely happy and satisfied with this decision. My house is warmer and I felt that I received a really great deal!
Will happily use them again!

"Called Merryfield in early June to get a quote for replacing a leaky garden window in our kitchen.  George came out a few days later and spent a good while talking with me about the pros and cons of replacing the garden window with a similar model, or a simpler two-panel window.  I agreed that day to have him install the simpler window.  He said he needed to order it and would get back to me when it arrived at the end of the following week.  I hadn't heard anything even into the week after the window was supposed to arrive so I called to find out the status.  George said the window hadn't arrived yet but that it was coming soon.
Cutting to the chase, I had to call him again to find out what was going on, but he set up his schedule to install the window shortly after my second call.  When he came with an assistant to do the work, you can tell he cares about his work and finishing a quality job.  The window was installed well and he removed the old one.
Overall, a job well done and I would recommend using George, but would ask for some more proactive communication."
