"I felt a little misled by the salesperson, who initially said the company likes to keep projects no more than 2-3 weeks out. I was impressed! Fence companies are known to take a while to install fences. When I eventually signed the contract and placed the deposit, the salesperson said they were 4-5 weeks out. OK—that sounds more like it, I thought. About a week later the Victorian Fence office called to schedule the installation for 6 weeks in the future. That was a little disappointing but still seemed within a normal range for fence companies. After waiting those 6 weeks, Victorian called late the day before the scheduled installation to say they couldn’t do it because they didn’t get the wood in. That was disappointing! They said they’d call the next day with an update, but after waiting several days, I had to call. The woman on the phone offered one explanation, that customers were complaining about their new wood fences being “wet” (which I think means waterlogged?), and then the owner called back and said there was just a shortage—the shipments weren’t coming in from the supplier. He was very nice and explained the situation as best he could. He seemed very above board. He also said they would call with an update. A week later after no updates, I called him, and the fence was installed the next day without any problems. What’s also weird is that twice I asked about having additional fencing installed, because our neighbors wanted 10 feet and a gate to match ours. I left a message with the salesperson and talked to the owner about it, but nothing happened. I understand if an existing order can’t be changed, or if there’s not enough product to install extra, but we were trying to spend more money! At least follow up on a request we made twice. We are happy with our new cedar fence, but I can’t say I’d recommend others use this company."

"The experience with North Shore Fence was as perfect as any home improvement project could go.. Ken the relationship manager for North Shore fence made sure everything went according to our difficult timeline. We needed 4 separate installation phases to be compatible with other work being done at that time. Each visit was punctual and efficient. Any questions or concerns Ken came by the house to handle them personally. They helped with the town permit application process, and even worked with my wife to design her vision. The only negative was the installation team on the first install phase was not listening to what we wanted, but one conversation with Ken and that was rectified. "Hired them to do a concrete driveway (two and half cars wide from two cars wide) and a step up to front/side porch concrete underneath, with pavers on top. I had a blacktop driveway, concreate walkway, grass and 4 large bushes that needed to be removed before any work can be done. The staff is professional, efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!"
