"We've been going to B&W for about 15 years. Bill and his brother Wayne are great, personable guys and seem to run a straight, honest shop. They're quick and call you as soon as your car is ready.

Just like the practice of medicine, auto repair can be trial & error by nature, and these guys do their best to make things right, even if there are complications, like a new brakes that squeak or a leak that comes and goes. If you're not happy with something they'll redo it. And It's a good feeling when you bring your old car in for an oil change and the shop calls back 45 minutes later and tells you it's ready and that they couldn't find anything else that needs fixing. Our old beater has almost 125K on it and B&W has kept it running fine. Recently, we needed a new windshield and B&W referred us to a local auto glass place that turned out to be quite reasonable and seemed to do a good job.

One caution: There have been a lot of auto break-ins in this neighborhood, so if you own any car audio equipment whatsoever, you should pick up your vehicle the same day it's ready and not leave it on 26th or Shotwell overnight. During the day, no problem, but we have been the victim of several break-ins and hit-and-runs overnight."

"The guy was great. He came out and he does this incredible landscape. All he had to do was look at my house and know that we're probably not a good fit because I don't have a very big house or yard and most of my landscape is taken up with the pool but he was wonderful. He gave me ideas. He gave me suggestions, plant suggestions. He was a really nice guy and literally loved what he was doing. He was wonderful. He set up his appointment on a timely basis."

"He was nice, excellent, and was reasonable. He fixed a lamp that I thought wasn t able to be fixed. He also picks up and delivers. My lamp he took it home one day and then brought it back the next day and it was done really well. He is really into fixing the lamps and is really a nice guy. He is a talker though, but that s okay. He was very punctual and did exactly what he said he was going to do."

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Ross, CA

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
