"I needed a structural engineer to inspect the framing on new residential construction when I began noticing some things on the jobsite that didn’t seem quite right. I knew that I didn’t have enough knowledge to ask the right questions, and found myself becoming more and more anxious. Mr. LeBas instilled confidence from my first telephone call, as I could tell that he understood the construction process from both the builder’s and buyer’s perspective. In this regard, he was fair, honest, and direct. Many people told me to rely on the normal inspection process to uncover any defects, but I am glad that I listened to my gut and hired Mr. LeBas. He identified a long list of items that deviated from code and/or the building plans. The fact that he is a licensed engineer adds more weight to his findings. He involved me during the inspection, pointing out areas of concern and explaining his method every step of the way. Mr. LeBas is very busy, so he may not be available at the exact time that you need him; but he is flexible and seems to truly want to help. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the services provided by Mr. LeBas. I will be hiring him again to do the final inspection. A+++++ <br />"

We are a local foundation repair company. We fix cracked and sagging foundations. We repair.both RESIDENTIAL and COMMERCIAL foundations. We do this by drilling piers under your foundation to support and correct foundation settlement and prevent it from moving again.\n\nWe then raise the foundation to its normal grade and place structural steel supports on each pier.\n\nWhen we're done, we use the soil to fill the pier holes and clean up after ourselves.

"He is a small company and he just uses one or two workers so he does the job slowly, but he does absolutely flawless and excellent work.  He is meticulous.  I am very satisfied with the job; it’s just that I have to have some time to allow him to finish the job.  He works on his own schedule and sometimes he doesn’t work the whole day through, but if I have the time and I am not worried about how fast the job is going to get done then he is actually excellent.  I am getting the best when I use them, but it is not all going to happen in a day.  He works in two different ways; he works either by the job and I make a little contract with him or he works at $38 an hour, and if he uses another worker he adds another $20 an hour and that is everything included, including his overheads and transportation.  He will be doing some painting work for me after this job is done."

FAQs for concrete foundation repair projects in Rougon, LA

Visible cracks, water leaks, uneven floors, or walls that won’t line up are classic red flags. You might also notice sticking windows, doors that no longer latch, or exterior cracks crawling up brick or siding. Even a damp, musty basement can hint at trouble. If you spot any of these, call a foundation pro right away. Early inspections cost far less than waiting until the damage threatens your home’s stability.

Yes, foundation problems impact your home’s value. Buyers want proof that the foundation is stable, and a recent, professional repair can actually boost confidence in your home. You’ll need to disclose the work, but documentation showing the structure was properly stabilized, especially with piers in regions known for shifting soil, often reads as a plus, not a problem. Skipping repairs, on the other hand, can cut your sale price and shrink the pool of interested buyers. Taking care of the issue protects both value and peace of mind.

Foundations are engineered for exceptional longevity when constructed correctly and maintained diligently. Concrete slab foundations remain structurally sound for 200 years, while other foundation types deliver integrity between 75 and 100 years. Regular professional inspections and timely maintenance further secure a foundation’s lifespan and ensure your home stays safe over the long term.
