"Fantastic! Professional service, four Leland Cyprus trees two stories tall, carefully removed, stump ground, fresh top soil for new arborvitae which were planted and staked well. New plantings were spaced well and soil tamped around root ball. Mulch applied.Old plant material removed and yard neat as a pin when work completed. The work was done very well with a knowledgeable crew , friendly, and they show pride in their work. I would highly recommend their services. Our backyard was useless with standing water and a mud pit under our deck, but Troy installed a french drain system and buried several downspouts to divert the water away from the middle of the yard and installed some river rock with a border under the deck to make it an attractive area versus an eye sore. Will definitely be hitting Troy back up for some more landscaping work in the spring."

Spring being the busy season, lots of landscaping companies are overwhelmed. I contacted Distinct Landscaping, and Kurt the owner emailed me back within two hours. Said he couldn't do the job, but gave me advice on the work, and was extremely professional. I was really impressed that he took the time to respond, where a lot of people would have either ignored it or even worse tried to push me off until it was too late in the season to plant grass or seed. "Mark Simpson and East Coast Landscaping were great to work with on this project. At every step of the way, Mark worked with us to get what we want, and stay within the budget we had set. They were able to completely change our backyard from a plain old DC yard with a less than ideal deck, into an oasis in NE DC. They were able to take my original plans for our yard and create a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the DC work life and stay within budget while still adding in the little extras we came up with in the last few days. The value of the work done will add 2 times the amount spent on the project once we decide to sell and move on form this house. But that will be tough to do now that we have the backyard of our dreams. I would highly recommend East Coast Landscaping for any work you are considering getting done to your house. My Angie?s Big Deal coupon was worth $450 in landscaping, but I did not need this much work at my house, I only needed help pruning my 30 foot tall bushes. 

Danny came out, and agreed that I had bought a coupon more than I needed; I was amazed with his honesty. So, we walked around my house and we found more landscaping that his crew could do.  In the end his crew pruned my 30 feet wall of bushes, pruned and shaped the canopy of hardwood trees in the front yard, and reshaped my older bushes into balls and squares.

I keep getting complements on my yard from my neighbors.  I will definitely use Danny and his crew this spring to redesign my whole house?s landscaping.
