"I would recommend College Works, specifically if managed by Chad Ellis. I have a century-old house which I had waited too long to repaint, and I only wanted CW to paint the top third of the house, which I couldn’t reach myself (trying to save money). What I liked best about Chad was that he was easy to work with, listened, and quickly made right any issues that came up, even to the point of taking care of the work himself. He cared about doing a good job and satisfying the customer. In the end, the colors were beautiful and the work was done well."

"At our original meeting when Tom Saner entered our home he immediately handed me his business card, a list of references and had a large three ring binder with photos of completed projects. Instead of just emailing his bid, he returned to our home with his estimate and drawings of the design, photos of faucets, tub, and toilet. When the project started the first thing they did was cover all our furniture in the master bedroom with large sheets of plastic. Drop cloths were placed on the stairs and the bedroom floor every morning and rolled up every night when they finished for the day. They showed up on time every morning, and cleaned up before they left every night. We replaced the tub, toilet, shower, vanity top, sinks, faucets, mirrors, lights, had the walls and ceiling painted and had extra outlets added by the vanity. I couldn't be more pleased with how the bathroom looks! I have already recommended Jim Saner's company to two of my friends that want to remodel their master bathrooms."

"PMS did a great job on this project. As a single mom of 2 teenage girls I feel 100% comfortable having this team in the house and have confidence i am getting quality work at a fair price. Stu does a great job explaining what he is going to do, communicating challenges, and is very transparent with price. I will continue to use this team for my future projects without looking elsewhere. They are professional, trustworthy and great to work with."

FAQs for handyman service projects in Roxbury, KS

Winterizing shields your home’s structure and key systems from snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. By sealing drafts and tuning up heaters, you cut energy waste, extend the life of appliances and windows, and avoid surprise repair bills. A small up-front investment keeps rooms cozy and protects the value of your biggest asset all winter long.

Yes, it’s important to prepare your sprinkler system for the winter. Blowing out the lines and insulating above-ground parts keeps valves and pipes from splitting when temperatures drop. A quick winterization visit costs far less than repairing burst components in spring, and it ensures your lawn--and your wallet--stay in good shape once the thaw hits.

A full home winterization plan goes beyond sealing windows and pipes. You might schedule a home energy audit, cover outdoor furniture, service the snowblower, swap smoke-detector batteries, add outlet gaskets, and hang storm doors. Each step beefs up your home’s protection, cuts drafts, and lowers the chance of costly cold-weather damage.
