"Generators of Maine just completed the installation of a 14kw generator with parallel transfer switches, to protect 2 separate metered panels at a rental property that I own. I didn't even know that this was possible, until Doug Sawyer suggested it. The incremental cost of protecting the additional panel with the parallel transfer switch arrangement was a fraction the cost of an additional generator and transfer switch. Throughout the job, Doug and his crew were awesome. I am a terrible snoop who enjoys technology, so I hung around just watching and learning. They didn't seem to mind my presence and were friendly and informative through out the install. Every aspect of the job was 100% top-notch. Doug also managed to under bid his nearest competitor on every component and aspect of the job, including the annual maintenance contract, which I deemed to be worth the $$$. "Right from the beginning, Greg has been very professional in the way he scheduled the work at our place, and the way he and his team has handled the project.
We have a large bedroom in which we planned to installed the recessed lights. The deal advertised on Angie's List is very attractive (by far the best deal) with the only caveat that drywall repair is not included in the service. We were a bit concerned, and hoped that nothing will be damaged in this process. We are quite relieved that the project ended successfully with no painful issues. 
The work has started at 9 AM (yes, Greg has shown up on time at the work place!) and ended just before 11 AM. They have cleaned-up after the work, and the room is very bright with the newly installed beautiful lights. 
With no reservation, I recommend this provider for electrical services such as installation of new lights.

"I'm not sure of the "value for money" but I do know the cost was less than the repair work done locally several years ago. Chris, who set up the consultation was very friendly. The tech, Sawyer was very patient with a technically challenged elder. While it turns out my computer (also elderly) can't be fixed, he recommended a type and price range for the purchase of a new computer. Once chosen, I can call back to go over the features before purchasing."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
