"The Braswell representative arrived on time and was courteous, helpful, and honest.  Though my specific situation was not Braswell's primary focus (it will involve masonry repairs and water sealing around my house's foundation) the representative nonetheless was very thorough in examining the area in question, he tested for dampness, and he recommended multiple courses of action that should repair and permanently correct the issue.  He displayed integrity by not trying to make a quick buck.  Instead, even though he knew that his company would not be responsible for the repair, he still discussed possible solutions at length.  Should I need water damage repairs in the future, particularly roof related, I will certainly be calling Braswell Construction Group. <br />"

"First and foremost they were very patient with my indecisiveness regarding colors, styles, etc. (white subway tile, light color granite, glass tiles, dark granite) tough to decide. They gave us samples, we went to their facility to actually look at the various slabs, and were completely open and helpful throughout the decision making process. They were willing to work with our schedules and were very flexible. Their knowledge of the process was very reassuring also. They had to demo our old backsplash (removing drywall too). They cleaned up as they worked and left our kitchen in excellent condition when they were finished. We highly recommend A Polished Finish to others seeking an update or remodel. They also installed a new granite counter top in our bathroom. <br />"

"I am pleased to recommend ETL Construction to anyone desiring true quality in any type of construction project, be it initially building a new home or needing another smaller construction project.   I needed a quality builder to build my John Tee Designed Southern Living Home Plan and I found Bill Kraeling and ETL more than met that need. Bill was able to help me add the design features and materials that gave my home the "historic" look that make it so very special. From selecting the most advantageous site on my property; helping me choose finishes; to keeping me on budget; to finishing my home on time; to completing several other smaller projects several years later; Bill and his ETL crew have always been the consummate professionals!""

"It was the most secure I have ever felt in a construction process. Brady is a rare bird: honest, always problem solves, answers your questions thoroughly, respects the money you're spending and saves money because he is capable of doing so many things well. That's why his company is called CARPENTER PLUS CONSTRUCTION. I'm unsure how to upload pictures. Sorry. It is a beautiful job."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Royston, GA

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
