Small jobs welcome

"This is an Amazing Company. Kurt Betzler walked us through every phase of the project and even came out at 9PM at night to discuss a concern we had during the project. All in all, we couldn't be happier with the service, craftmanship, design, and communication. We then had our master bathroom remodeled. Recommend this company 100%!"

"Water-wise did an excellent job tearing down my old fence and building my new fence at a good price. The new fence is a shadow with trim and capped and included a new gate. The fence is strong and very pretty I get a lot of complements on how much it improves my yard and request for companies name. I plan to use water-wise for future projects."

"Ben Dickerson is plain and simple just great to work with. I was a bit slow after purchasing the Angie's list special and, to be honest, even after we scheduled the appointment with Ben, my wife and I had not really thought about what we wanted to do in the backyard. Well, turns out that Ben has been doing this awhile and he guided us gracefully through the process. I was particularly impressed with the way Ben interviewed us because he was able to look at the yard and talk to us about ideas he thought might work. Then, quite deliberately I realized in hindsight, he carefully interviewed us to find out what we were looking for. His ideas prompted us to think about variations and usage that we had not considered before. In the end, my wife and I discovered we had both been thinking about how best to redo the backyard the same way (lucky for me).
Our yard is oddly shaped, although it has a fairly standard "L" shaped house (with a tired flagstone patio) but then goes back about 100 feet tapering into a point at the far end of the years. A good part of the area is grass that has seen better days and takes a lot of water. We have a big ugly hedge on one side that does block the view of the neighbors pool equipment and a couple of big, mature, pine trees on the other side. We really like the pine trees and didn't want to lose them. The yard is deep enough that we wanted a retreat/sanctuary way in the back but wanted a patio or low deck for entertaining too. We also thought of the traditional patio cover over a built in BBQ should fit somewhere in the mix and wanted to redo the yard with more plants and plant diversity (and with more drought tolerant plants).
Ben measured the yard, took all of our ideas into account, and promised a design in a couple of weeks. Well, I thought that we would get the design and that would be the end of it. Nope, not how Ben works. To our pleasant surprise (and apparently the way he always does business), Ben came back up to the house a week or so later for a second session with the initial set of plans. Very cool. He captured the idea for entertaining just right with a great patio, built in BBQ with attached seating, and a great patio cover design. Around the corner from the patio he designed us a second entertainment area as a low deck that we can eventually put the jacuzzi next to (one of my late ideas). His design removed the hedge and replaced it with a layering of plants that will look a lot better but still block the view of the neighbors yard. Perhaps best of all, the design included a winding pathway to a third small patio that will be our private sanctuary area. He also put a small water fall and fountain back there that we really like. Oh, and the pine trees are still in the design and he picked both ground cover and plants that will do well in their shadow.
So, overall, I am really pleased. The design he did for us really captured what we wanted. Ben has really great ideas and he was able to show us many of them in pictures because they are in real yards. He also has tremendous knowledge of the plants that make sense for our area (our plans identified all of the plant types). He is punctual, meticulous, and very easy to work with. I highly recommend Ben Dickerson and Simple Elegance Landscape Design.
"

"Our 15yr old pool and systems had been wearing out slowly and we replaced things only when absolutely necessary. Finally the Central Control malfunctioned and we could no longer avoid it. When Nathan came to assess our system he asked how much or how little we wanted to replace/ repair. He gave us a list of options to get our pool in good running order - something we had not been able to enjoy for at least 6 mos. We knew it would be expensive but when it was all done we were swimming and enjoying our pool & spa just like when it was new. I especially love the wireless controller since we have control of the system indoors or outdoors.
This past Spring (May) I contacted Nathan about a minor issue and he promptly came and fixed it for a nominal service charge. I also asked him to provide an estimate to replace our filter pump. I will be asking them to replace our filter pump and spa pump with one variable speed pump that will pay for itself in less than a year.
Every contact I've had with Nathan has been pleasant. He is very knowledgeable and respectful and takes the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. Even if their prices may not be the lowest, I feel we've received good value for the service and quality we've received and will be using them again in the future.
"

"We have two big, young, active dogs who destroyed the backyard our first winter at the residence following the first rain. There was no drainage, and the backyard was transformed into a big mud hole.
Our goal was to eliminate the dirt and mud, but also have an aesthetic backyard we could enjoy.
Tim convinced us in our first consult that we could in fact have a nice backyard with dogs. His team put in proper drainage with a beautiful stamped concrete patio. They landscaped the surrounding patio with various trees, shrubs and plants with mounded gold rock as the ground cover. The team also constructed a nice shadow box fence and gate separating our garden area. In the garden, they built two garden boxes and planted various fruit trees and covered the ground with bark. The entire backyard is on a timed drip irrigation system. The entire project was done in one week while we were on vacation, so we returned to a transformed wonderful backyard.
However, it was not without its challenges thanks to our canines' youthful exuberance. I found myself sweeping rocks off the patio twice a day. Tim recommended we add bigger rock to the small rock. He personally came out and spread the rock himself free of charge. This helped immensely. Then about a month later, Tim came over on a Saturday and built a grape arbor in our garden area, again free of charge.
Tim and his team were professional, reliable and they back their work. He truly cares about satisfying his customers. We would not hesitate referring him or his team for any landscaping needs.
Matt and Regina"

FAQs for water feature fountain or waterfall installation projects in Sacramento, CA

Installing a drinking fountain costs between $500 and $1,000 for indoor models and an average of $3,000 for outdoor units, including installation. The cost depends on the design, materials, and professional labor involved, with service rates ranging from $45 to $200 per hour. Investing in a drinking fountain can enhance your space's functionality and aesthetic appeal.

A water fountain increases home resale value by elevating curb appeal and enhancing overall property aesthetics. A well-cared-for fountain that matches the home’s design and functions flawlessly boosts buyer confidence and market desirability. Routine maintenance and professional installation ensure proper performance, ensuring that your fountain benefits both daily enjoyment and long-term resale value.

Maintaining a fountain costs $25 to $50 per month for basic upkeep and $50 to $150 for professional deep cleaning or servicing. A fountain of any size requires routine draining, thorough cleaning of the pump, tubing, and surface, plus regular inspections for wear, algae, or mineral deposits. Annual maintenance and sealing further extend its lifespan and enhance its appearance.

How much power your water fountain uses depends on the pump’s size and operating schedule. Smaller fountains use less than 10 watts per day, while larger cascade pumps can require up to 1,000 watts. This translates to an average increase of around $25 per month on your electric bill.

Water fountain installation takes anywhere from a few hours to several days. The installation timeline depends on the fountain’s design, site preparation requirements, and the involvement of professional plumbing and electrical services. Prefabricated water features are set up in a few hours, while custom designs require additional structural and aesthetic modifications and take much longer.
