Customers say: Quality work

"I had a concrete slab put in by Robert from Armando Castelos concrete. The workmanship was fine. I am not knowledgeable with concrete and there was a bit of a communication problem when I asked Robert if he can put on a sealant. I paid Robert $50 to take care of this for me. He never showed up to put on the next layer. Also Armando was upset that the sealant was put on as this apparently does not help the concretes strength when curing the first few days. Armando stated he would come and check it for us when he got back into town. We have never heard from him either. We spent $1,200 for the job. So far so good, the concrete looks fine. But I would not hire this company again."

"LHB did excellent work! In two days they removed our old patio deck that was heaved and broken by tree roots and poured a new slab that we really like. If we, or anyone in our HOA, needs concrete work done in the future we know who to call. Highly recommend!"

Arizona Pool Restoration is family owned and operated by CartGuys Inc. ROC 209073 since 1995. We offer Pool repair, Pool/Tile Cleaning, and Pool Service including new plaster and pebble tech installation by authorized pebble tech installer. Our equipment is cutting edge and "State of the Art". We can use a large variety of media to suit the job, removing calcium lines from swimming pools, spas or water features. \n\nOTHER SYSTEMS use harmful glass beads or other grit in water blasters at 4000-5000 psi which mars or scratches the tile where calcium can grow back quickly. Our system is low air pressure at 40-50 psi with a "Soft-Crystal" that is designed to disintegrate on impact. That action is what removes the white build-up at the water line without harming the pool tile, pebble, or plaster surfaces. \n\nWe also remove pool stains with non-toxic stain removers (unlike harmful "acid wash") with a newly developed technology for cleaning plaster or pebble interiors. Our visit includes a complete water test for our customers, because your water chemistry can contribute to calcium build up. \n\nWe offer Deck Restoration. We specialize in removing old, damaged cool deck and installing one from many choices of awesome decks that will enhance the beauty of your home.

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Sahuarita, AZ

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
