"I highly recommend Hoffman Concrete for any of your concrete needs. Mark Hoffman and his teams first did our stamped patio a few years ago and it has been a great addition that we enjoy every day. Then we needed our driveway replaced and they did another excellent job. They tore out our 3 car driveway and sidewalk. The new driveway/sidewalk is perfectly finished and really does enhance the “curb appeal”."

"Talk about above and beyond!! Wow! The Allen Outdoor Solutions team blew me away with AWESOME SERVICE!! They have maintained our yard and landscape for many years so we asked them to install an irrigation system. The installers were VERY PROFESSIONAL and CLEAN! Our yard was put back in better condition than when they arrived. We chose a HUNTER HYDRAWISE system, which is operated from our Smart Phone. SUPER COOL!!! I also want to mention the office staff and coordination team. We were informed every step of the way before installation and also receive a follow-up call a few days after to make sure everything was operating correctly. THANKS!!!"

"Absolutely superb! Nick has a great eye and chose perfect Flagstone and edging for the project. We are halfway through, just waiting on the weather to permit planting. I would highly recommend this company to do your landscaping. They listen, have great ideas, excellent prices, and do a wonderful job."

"Harold came out and listened to my wife and I and walked through the concepts that we had. He helped us take those concepts and shape them into something that met the practical application. His team was onsite regularly as weather and material permitted. During the process Harold was open as we asked for a few changes and made those happen for us. The project cost was competitive with other bids we got; not the highest, not the lowest. Harold had done a job earlier for us and we trusted him."

"I needed to have work done in preparation for having appliances installed through Home Depot and I was trying to get the site prepped for that. The installation process required shut-off valves above the floor and unfortunately, I have an older home and all of that had to be done. The company was very prompt to respond to my request to have a bid and do the work. The plumber arrived on time and seemed like a friendly person. The plumber then proceeded to get frustrated with me that he was being asked to work which he was calling "unnecessary". As I continued to ask him to do the work that I was paying for, he continued to be frustrated by it and that he would have to talk about this with Home Depot for these "unnecessary requirements". He was worked up by this. While I didn't feel threatened by him, as a woman alone in the house it made me uncomfortable to have a contractor get frustrated/angry in my presence for what I'm paying them to do as if I am making this up. It's just not ok. He never turned the water back on to the appliances when he left. I had to pull out the fridge and turn the water back on. The water to my dishwasher was never turned back on, which I learned later and I don't know how to turn it on so I have to wait for the new one to be installed and wash dishes by hand until then. To set up the work in the kitchen he used a shut off valve in the basement which leaked and ruined the ceiling tiles which now have to be replaced due to water staining. He left those wet tiles on the floor and ceiling open and a mess on the floor for me to sweep up. Also, really not ok. I am not sure what the issue was here with this guy but this wasn't a good experience."

"Extremely professional. Showed up on time, cleaned up every day. Very kind salesperson. Understood my budget and worked with me for solutions. I would recommend this company to my family and friends, and I have. My neighbor is interested in using them this summer! I am now proud to have my friends over to my backyard. Wonderful craftsmanship. Very thorough in creating proper drainage areas, and kept a positive attitude during extremely hot, humid St Louis summer weather."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Saint Ann, MO

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
