"Jonathan was very quick to respond to my inquiries when I reached out about my retaining wall. When he came to inspect the project he immediately got down to taking measurements from all sorts of angles and then went ahead to explain to me what all the steps of the work from start to finish complete with timelines and within 24 hrs too I had my quote, which was very affordable especially for the amount of work that was involved. Even at the planning stages I saw that he shared my vision of how I imagined my end product. They were working on another project, but managed to schedule my project within a week of my inquiries. They were very thoroughly meticulous in their work despite working in very hot summer weather and were done in no time. "Mark is a thoughtful and skilled contractor. He is curteous, timely and pays attention to the small details that give you confidence in his ability to take good care of your home/project. Of the three consultations we had for our backyard patio, he was the only one to bring us product pamphlets so that we knew what our choices were and how the process works. He also took time to bring samples for each stage of the build. He cleaned up as needed and even topped off our gravel driveway which took a beating during the soil excavation. Best of all, our patio is gorgeous and totally ups are quality of life! I wish I could post a picture here. :)"

"There was no communication as to when the job would start. They just showed up one morning ready to go. The first part of the project was to rebuild stone stairs to correct uneven riser height which required providing three new stones - the problem was corrected but the new stones do not match the existing ones. The second part was to correct a drainage issue that occurs in heavy rains. We have had several people look at the issue and Green Thumb was the first to come up with what I thought was a practical solution. We'll see how it works after the first good rain."

"We hired Carlos to restore an area that had been started but not properly completed by another landscaper. As agreed, the first landscaper properly removed the overgrown shrubs. Next, he was supposed to replace the gravel with mulch and then plant about a dozen native grasses where the shrubs had been. Instead, he put the mulch on top of the gravel, which made it impossible to plant the grasses because of the depth of gravel and mulch. Carlos was able to carefully remove the mulch and save it to use after he removed the gravel. He also suggested that we leave a border of gravel along the house and use edging to separate the areas, which we did. Last, he planted the native grasses exactly according to our specs, and everything came out great. Before starting the work, Carlos discussed the situation at length with us to help determine the best approach. Also, since we were out of town when he did the work, he stayed in touch with us and sent photos of the progress and the final result"
